I think I saw her on Frank skinner at Hay Festival last week and was very surprised but thought perhaps I was reading too much into the headwear.

Conversely my jaw dropped this morning, when switched on to the BBC Sunday Morning Live show. There was a young author promoting her book on sex, I think she was also a comedian, - it was her mode of dress that threw me. She wore an elegant head scarf, but then there was more flesh on display than not ! a tiny spaghetti strapped very short dress, with shoulders and plenty of decollate on show, and lots of leg with ankle boots. I know young Muslim girls can mostly choose their form of dress, but it was the headscarf of modesty and a look of going out clubbing that confused me.

Mixed messages, it sounds like. You either conform, or you don't conform. On the other hand, if she was a comedian, she might have been making fun of Muslim restrictions on dress.

Ok, I can see the reasoning for this, but in the balance of fairness, any chance that the next show will be Porn wear for the over 70's ? Long time since I wore pelmet length skirts so black tights will hide the thick ankles, I fancy having a go at hooker heels if someone helps me to stand up in them (!), and my body might need a bit of help with a cut to the navel frock, positioning my boobs under each armpit for a start !
