It reminds me of lemon quartz/ Ouro Verde. But this is like the whole "Nilamani" thing. They would bang on about sapphires all the time and hardly mention it was kyanite, my bet being a renaming of Daha Kyanite as I have seen both side by side and there is almost no difference, apart from Nilamani costing a lot more of course. :)

Yes, SnowMoon, I was wondered whether Nilamani was another name for Daha Kyanite.
Regarding hardness, that's one thing that always annoys me: that some really soft stones are not advertised as such. Apatite is a good example! It's a 5, so it's really delicate. I almost bought a rose apatite ring before I learnt this fact. What's the point of spending a great deal of money on a stone that you can seldom wear for fear of damaging it? I think that type of information should be more widely and transparently conveyed
