This gorgeous collection of giant flowering fuchsias includes four varieties with three plants of each and produce large, fully double blooms that drip from trailing stems, making them ideal for hanging baskets. Aspect: All varieties of 'giant fuchsias' have a long flowering period and will do well anywhere, even in shaded spots.
Cultural instructions:
Remove your young plants from the plastic tray and stand your plug plants upright
Do not be alarmed if some plugs have become loose or some of the compost has become dislodged
Submerge the plugs in water for up to 20 minutes to ensure the roots have been fully hydrated
We recommend that you pot the plugs into small pots (7cm/2.75")
Keep your plants in a frost environment, such as a greenhouse, conservatory or windowsill
If growing on a windowsill, rotate the potted-up plants 2-3 times a week in order that they don't grow unevenly, leaning in the direction of the window
Grow in cool conditions
Plants are best grown on the dry side rather than being too wet, so err on the side of caution and ensure your potted-up plants are not over-watered, and keep in a sheltered position for two weeks until established
Only plant out when all threat of frost has passed
Regular feeding should begin 6-8 weeks after planting into their final position (be that borders, patio pots or hanging baskets)
Feed with a fertiliser low in nitrogen and high in potash, such as liquid tomato food
Never over feed your plants and remove faded blooms regularly
