Happy birthday :mysmilie_858:

Personally, I much prefer the circle one.

wow THANK YOU (that's MY thanks button! )Your comments have all been so helpful. I emailed my mum the pics too and she likes the heart. Because I have promised my husband to reduce my online shopping (thankfully I don't do "real" shopping anywhere near as much ....) I will ask him which one HE likes the best later. If he is as helpful as a chocolate teapot then I may keep both. If however he says the hearts then I think I am swaying towards it, but it's close. I think if the circle one really was solid and the camera had not fibbed a bit on the structure of the pendant then I would have found the choice harder. But as it happens the hearts is equal in weight, bigger in size, and has exceeded my expectations whereas the circle, although beautiful, was below my expectations in terms of size and structure when I saw it in the flesh. I have had epiphany rings before and the cladding has not lasted well.

Tinkerbelle and Vienna- why does it not surprise me that you two said to keep both!!!! .....I may do so....

If you look at something and think WOW i have to have it then you know right away you want it.

As you are dithering i'd say (contraversial here) return them both and because its a special birthday

get something you really look at and love, you're only 40 once. :cheeky:

It's ok Barbs, my dithering is only because I promised myself that I would return one. I was looking for a circle, not a heart, but when I laid eyes on the heart I said "oh no.....WOW" because I was expecting NOT to prefer it, let alone love it! Those of you who said the word "unusual" -my mum said the same. My mum is never wrong (though don't tell her I said so...). Now I have put it on my Tiffany chain (taken off a pendant I bought on the very day I got engaged in New York) it looks even better. Now that I have it on, I look in the mirror and the eek heart is my husband, the yellow gold is my 3 year old son and the rose gold is my 18 month old daughter.I can hardly send it back now, can I?

Happy 40th birthday!!! Oh I do love both but if I really had to choose, Im swaying towards the hearts, would be lovely if you could keep both though ;) ;) xx

I don't want to be 40. I feel like I am an old mum! (cries into sauvignon blanc)..I want to be "in my 30's!"

I remember my 30th birthday as if it was yesterday. Scary.

Don't cry:bear: You never change inside:happy: I bet you will never feel that you are forty:)

Jesus I sure remember my 30th I was dating a male model at the time a stud muffin if ever you saw one !

Was a single parent at the time too, having separated from my first husband.

40th was good 50th was fantastic ,but sadly that was a few years ago!
I still fit into a size 10 ,although I was a size 6 in my 30's 40's , but feel no older mentally, I have always kept intellectually well.

I have 2 degrees, am a published practitioner in professional journals and keep busy with crosswords, I work as a nurse specialist full time ,and have a very fulfilling home life.

I feel blessed , I did only have one child, who is almost 27 , who has been fully provided for.

So age is merely a number to me

Do not fret Weathergirl ,think karma ,and remember that what goes around comes around ,relax and enjoy your day

thanks Jabba. You have reminded me quite rightly how bliddy lucky ('scuse French) I am. I really should count my blessings and stop worrying about a number.

They are both lovely, but I particularly love the hearts one.... I do have a circle pendant from QVC, it is an eek one that I got last year for about £24 and I usually wear it most days. The hearts one reminds me of my russian wedding ring that my parents got me for my 18th birthday (yes, I still have it).
I have only ordered 1 item this year but seeing that is tempting me

Happy Birthday Weathergirl! I like the circle pendant but I hope that you get both. I have the white gold round pendant but it is not as sparkly as the eek one!

Hey happy birthday for next week Weathergirl. Being 40 is a doddle and you`re old enough to appreciate life and still young enough to enjoy it. Speaking as someone who isn`t that far off 60 I look back and really appreciate just how young 40 is and the world is still your oyster. Live, love, enjoy every moment.
