Thanks T x .... what a terrible week you've had, I know how you feel my youngest son at thirty has just been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes can't get over it, for weeks he was feeling thirsty, kept getting up through the night for a wee, lost weight and his vision went blurry, turns out he's type 1 so he's spent the week trying to adjust, and get used to taking his blood sugar levels and injecting himself four times a day, he knows we're all here for him as your family are for you daughter, hope you're both ok now......and hey how cool does that nose piercing sound! We're definitely sisters from another mister. :mysmilie_3:
 
I dearly hope a cure is found for diabetes shopper. I’ve been first contact carer for newly diagnosed children in my primary school. My best wishes to you all.

I am so sorry to hear about your son. No wonder you have not been around on here much. (Until a few days ago, I had hardly been on the forum myself since July so I'm sorry I didn't spot your absence sooner.)

You sound like a very close and loving family and you always speak so fondly of your boys. I'm sure with some "shopper care", your son will soon be leading a very normal life again.

Aw thanks Andi, to be honest my sons and grandsons are the reason I breath, oh and Mr Shopper, mustn't forget Mr Shopper. :mysmilie_17: yeah I'm sure he'll be ok lovely Andi and don't worry about anything, we all have things going on that take us away from our Forum buddies now and again, and as for "Shopper Care" (not related to Obama Care :mysmilie_17:). there's always an endless supply to anyone who wants/needs it. :mysmilie_3:

I've only just got home & this is the first time I logged on today. I'm so sorry to read your news, that is a really big adjustment for anyone to make & it's something that affects the rest of the family as well. My nephew was diagnosed when he was 13 & the specialist said being sensible was the best approach, he grew up pretty quickly after that & 17 years on he's managing his condition & living life to the full. It's just so difficult when it's your baby who's going through something rotten & them being being married with children of their own doesn't make any difference, does it? So chuffed that you're back, going off to find some star nose studs online.

Thanks T, I'm glad your nephew is coping well, sounds like a strong lovely young man. You're right though, they're always your baby no matter how old and it cuts right through you to see them suffering. Years ago I seriously thought about getting me nose done but never got round to it, hope you've found your little star nose stud, that sounds absolutely lovely. :mysmilie_3:

That's absolutely inexcusable of QVC, they can more than afford to donate an hour to Poppy sales, even send them out free postage and it wouldn't make a dent in their billion dollar company profit, so more than able to donate 100% of the proceeds, am I suprrised they don't though, absolutely not.
