They must have bal**ed up the weights surely it wouldn't be worth baking a 2oz cake.
The E numbers will be the preservatives in the dried fruit so would be there even if you made them yourself.

865g of ingredients for £30??!! Come on, Qvc - we can do the maths! Even for the most expensive, the dried fruit, you're not talking more than a couple of pounds' worth and the baking cost won't add that much more.

I'd like a recipe for baking a QVC special Rip-Off cake. Answers on a postcard please.
 
Rip-Off Cake: Take 12 oz. bull...., 5 ozs smarm, 1 large IPad, 1 family-size pack of tweets, mix together, adding several drops of essence of insincerity, strain mixture through a piece of on-trend clothing (of your choice), bake until well done, allow to cool.
