Amazon Prime requires a £80 yearly subscription for the next day delivery, so it's not really a fair comparison.

you could take out a Prime 'trial' and just cancel it (30 day trial).

Amazon offer me Prime trials every couple of months - never paid for it in the past two years... although I do shop on Amazon all the time.
