Julia asking folk to text their 'forename'

I work in construction - women are accepted into this industry because it ticks the right boxes not because the men particularly want us in it. It is a PC exercise unfortunately and all the spin in the world won't make every job equal to both sexes.

Julia asking folk to text their 'forename'

Every job or role, if well done, has dignity. Whether it be somebody who makes the tea or makes the decisions. Whether we like it or not, women cannot have their cake and eat it. I have friends with kids who have no choice but to work to put food on the table. My 14 year god daughter has never...

Which presenters are your top and bottom 3?

Who is Miss Piggy? Likes, in no particular order Julian - like somebody else said, doesn't treat the audience as brainless AK - Always liked her, from way back. Cathy - Comes across warm, genuine and has no ego and doesn't claim to own the entire QVC stock Dislikes Clare - the voice - just...

    Best Make up brushes??

My vote also goes to Smashbox. I had a phase many years ago of buying every brush just so I had them all in number order. But whilst it cost me a small fortune, those brushes are genuinely as good as when I first bought them. Some are 10 years plus. I give them a gentle wash every now and then...

Global Goddess Passport To Beauty & Lip Veil

I bought this ages ago and have to say I really liked the range. I managed to buy the lipgloss, eye pencil and brown eyeshadow and still use them. The lip gloss in particular is a favourite of mine.

    Hair care ranges from QVC

I've watched the commercial for that a couple of times and wondered what it's like. They have it on QVC USA I think. I think I may have a gander on Fleabay...any particular 'scent' you would recommend Jude? x

    Hair care ranges from QVC

I've noticed of late that QVC seem to be offering more haircare ranges again. I was a big fan of Hairfix and always had the 3 step system in the bathroom but it does seem to have changed. My hair no longer responds as well to it - not sure if they changed the formula but something just isn't...

Alison Young you are SO RUDE!

Oh my gawd - is this website for real? Pictures of feet and toes? Each to their own and all that - but honestly, QVC Presenter's feet? I've seen it all now...

    Simon Brown

I've always had a soft spot for Simon, he comes across as friendly and not at all patronising. He can come and cook for me anyday!

    Tan Accelerators

Really sorry to hear about your friend. I used to be 'reckless' in the sun when I was alot younger, mainly because I was so uneducated and just didn't know what to use and why. 41 is no age. xx

    Need a new eye cream

I have used the pro collagen day cream on my neck area to be honest - I have an oily and very shiny t zone but quite dry eyelids/eye area and found the pro collagen to be too greasy on my face. Strangely, the night cream is a much better texture for my face but didn't think it could be used...

    Need a new eye cream

I'm almost finished on my tube of Sarah Chapman eye cream and need to re-stock! I fancy a change - any recommendations? I am almost 39, have dry/crepey eyelids but I have seen a minor improvement since using the SC range but not sure whether to continue or try something else. I was looking at...

    Tan Accelerators

I use Zhuzh - I am fair skinned, will burn in the sun very quickly but this stuff has actually made a difference on me. I get it from Ebay, much cheaper than Ideal World (if they still sell it)

    Merry Christmas

I'm not a frequent poster but have so enjoyed reading the threads and have been doubled up laughing at times. Coming on here is like meeting old friends in its own strange way and it has cheered me up no end at times when I have least felt like smiling. Thank you to all who offer their advice...

    Alexis, Loccitane, memory ...

What was the peach face scrub that became popular mid 80's? Felt like you were scrubbing your face with a pumice stone... My nan always used to buy me Bromley at christmas and I never really liked it because it smelt too old for me at the time. I think you can still get White Grass in Lloyds...
