How are we to believe the hype on haircare....

I've used Aveda since QVC introduced it but in the last year I have been trying out other shampoos and conditioners especially SLS free as my scalp goes potty and itches like I have a flea infestation! Tried MOP and ended up with terrible scalp and neck rash.

Was surprised to see that Holland & Barrett's website selling A'Kin and have some bargain offers on all their range. http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=2452&prodid=2700

Currently using this which is SLS and Paraben free:

If anyone has a Boyes store near them they are selling these for 89p!! (instead of £4.59)

that Tea Tree by Optima is the very one I got in Boyes for 89p a couple of weeks back! I do like the range, they do skinwash and hand/body conditioner too - got one of those for 89p this week as well!

The thing is that I think the market has changed and a 27 pound tsv on hair care is a difficult sell without ez pay these days....

I've just purchased the Manuka Honey Shampoo from H&B. Got the conditioner half price:wink:

I tried the Manuka range but I didn't like the smell - if you like honey you'll be ok! Despite that I do keep in a jar of the actual Manuka for winter coughs & sore throats, tho it makes me gag to take a spoonful!

Further to my last post about the Optima, anyone who's interested and is near a Boyes store, you can also get blemish gel, tea tree cream, blemish stick (tho it's a dabber not a rollerball) and nail solution, as well as the shampoo/conditioner/hand & body..all were 89p last time I bought.
