Depends who they're for really. As someone pointed out earlier, it's highly unlikely that you're going to forget someone who's significant enough that'd you'd spend £40 on. There's generic presents and there's generic presents, and I emphasised "nice" as in chocs being perhaps Hotel chocolat or a similar ilk, and wine, unless the person is teetotal, you can't go wrong. When I say wine, I don't mean "plonk" like barefoot or echo falls...a couple of acceptable, quaffable wines won't offend anyone...a set of nivea bubble bath and a bar of soap in a fancy box, that screams generic to me!

Merry your choice of chocs and wine is anything but generic! I was thinking more like plonk or Heroes or a tin of shortbread (I LOVE shortbread).

I bought a couple of gift presentation boxes of fruit teas for my 'generic' presents (from Costco) if anyone turns up. Though with the mutating virus being reported, I rather hope no-one WILL turn up.

Most of the Lola Rose stones are dyed, they certainly don't come out of the ground that colour, and the goldstone and it's blue equivalent are just glass with added chemicals and copper.
