The usual sprinkle some cornflakes or some rice on a hard floor or clean piece of carpet and say WOW…look at the suction power.. Fresh bits and pieces on to the floor immediately sucked up is no accurate portrayal of a vacuum cleaner‘s true capability. Some squares of cut away carpet from a home with shaggy dogs‘ hairs trodden in over weeks might provide a better picture..
Having three Sharks at present (one corded and two cordless), I do think that generally they are effective at their task and relatively well built machines. But my corded one (similar to this TSV) is hardly user-friendly to employ vacuuming around a house with stairs. Cumbersome and heavy, with the cord often getting trapped around corners, and the cord itself a real bind to put away. The demonstrations of these corded machines are always done in a relatively small but uncluttered and level space without the twists and turns and objects you that you find in a house. Get the demonstrator to go up a flight of stairs with a corded vacuum, with a turn on them, and then see how easy it is to manoeuvre the cord around. Funnily enough, they also never show on the demonstrations, how fiddly winding in the cord away is, and how regularly it fails to hold to the inadequate clip provided by Shark for the task. Is a wind-in by button cool not possible? It’s either corded hassle, or settle for the much lesser suction of their cordless ones, with very average battery life and use time in my experience, if you don’t go to the extra expense of buying a spare battery.

Just now watching the Shark presentation with Ophelia and she keeps saying Literally.Every few minutes she says it and I find her intensely annoying for any length of time.
