Why i don't like taking stuff to charity shops is, i heard they go through everything and take the best
things for themselves, so it put me off i must admit. I'd rather the things went to people who were
struggling and deserved a bit of help

My mum works (volunteers) for the British Heart Foundation. This is true, although they don't rifle through looking for bargains. As they're pricing them etc if they see something they like they can put it to one side and ask the manager if they can buy it. My mother insists on paying the full price but her manager usually says to pay half. It doesn't bother me. They're still getting stock for free to sell to raise money. All my stuff goes to the PDSA. There is a huge shop where I live, think it may be Barnardos, where all items are 99p. It's always very busy in there!
