Same here, funny description. I had cast iron pans years ago but had to dry them thoroughly over heat after use to prevent rusting. A right pain, they had to go! I'm sure modern ones won't have this problem, hopefully!

I won a set of Le Crueset pans in a competition a few years ago and I struggled to lift the darn things without anything in them! Can only presume the "lightweight" version is because today's technology has enabled the manufacturers to produce the items much thinner. Not my choice of cookware for my induction hob.

I thought that the whole point of cast iron cookware was its HEAVINESS because this distributed the heat better, and retained it, for more even cooking.
