New brands coming to QVC

Blimey, no wonder royalty uses all this stuff - they're the only ones who can afford it! How long until QVC are offering their own mortgages for their products, or start with credit checks and refusing to serve anyone with less cash than Donald Trump? No objection to anyone selling premium brands but it does alienate those who can't afford or don't want them. And they'll have the cheek to add P&P.

I reckon QVC think they really are the 'upmarket' channel.I would certainly want to try in the flesh to check they suit -more expensive brands like these. As for having to pay p&p and having awful cs if you find it's not for you.er.... no.Also hi everyone I have just joined here.

they call them 'cushion foundation'
i was looking at them same time ago last year,
as i like the finish, but as Marina quite rightly pointed out,
they don't last long, as they have very little product in them,
and will work expensive that way, comparing to other methods of dispensing foundation or bb/cc cream
and i assume that most that product will remain in the cushion itself, not on mug

and as someone (sorry forgot who) already said, Erborian are indeed now owned by L'Occitane

i have a sample of their bb cream which i must try sometime as i like light textures

Floris are a lovely brand, sort of like Crabtree and Evelyn, I bought the bluebell candle long ago.

Erborian are a Korean brand, which is made in France. Their BB/CC creams are more like the traditional ones that the thinner ones you get in the West. they have just brought out a sponge(in a pot and you press down on the sponge to get the colour out. Lancome has one since last year), foundation out. They also do non coloured skin care. they have been in SpaceNK for a few years, I got a tube of their CC in a goodie bag.

Smeg are kitchen gadgets and white goods American fridges, but sell your children to afford.

Hi Petespants  and :mysmilie_357:. I still consider myself a bit of a newbie, been reading for a lot longer than I've been posting. :happy:x

Agree about the sponge foundations. Never bought one as thought about 10mls at most in them.

Google yes, eborian bought by L'Occitane back in 2012

Such a good idea! It's a real risk buying perfumes online unless you have tried them already, as I know to my cost. I bought a Tova one from QVC once - disgusting, so I never bought perfume from Q again (well, until the recent Philosophy Falling in Love, but only because people on here gave an excellent description and, luckily, I love it). I really wish QVC would offer samples but they would never be able to organise such a complicated thing.

Les Senteurs in London will send you samples of whatever you want. I'm no perfume guru but this is my favourite perfume shop. Love it!! http://www.lessenteurs.com/pg/182/Sample-Service

I love Les Senteurs, I used to be quite friendly with James when he was in store.

They have a sale on at the moment and free shipping until the end of this month. I managed to get Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Ambre Dore at half price, and 4160 Tuesdays' Urura's Tokyo Cafe at £20 off in the sale.

I don't know how they'll sell Le Creuset stuff - it's a little overpriced already, so once you've put the QVC surcharge on it and added the exorbitant postage (even more exorbitant given the weight of some of the stuff) and it'll need to be on 4 easy pays

Bet your life it will be on maximum EasyPay to justify the inevitable, ripoff price. Or maybe they'll have added value of a Dish Cloth or something!

But it is very good quality though. I hope they get someone decent to demonstrate it and don't use Clumsy Simon :mysmilie_59:

You can get Le Creuset at outlet centres like Clark's Village, Swindon Outlet and Gloucester Quays. For QVC to beat that there would have to be a bargain set of pans or something. Also these pans have a lifetime guarantee (or a bliddy long one) so the repeat purchase would be limited. I am still using the set I bought in 1999.
