From everything I've seen so far, after about 2 months of digging etc, I think they are digging in the wrong place. They have today filled up 2 other holes that they dug in the wrong places.

I feel I know where the pipe is, or at least, how they can find it. But I don't want to suggest it because "they are the experts" and in any case, I may be wrong.

They had 8 men here today, including some new faces.

If they don't find it soon, they will be digging up MY garden and ruining it.

I should send Les round. An old chap who lives on our estate,he has NO problem telling workmen what they are doing is wrong. Got escorted out of a council meeting once and got roadworks stopped. He's brilliant.

I was in Superdrug a few years ago and a young woman was at one of the make up displays and was putting stuff in her pocket. In the next aisle I told a member of staff and she hurried round and then came back laughing. The young woman was the cosmetic companies merchandiser but she did thank me.

Race card has, unfortunately been used for years.
 
It seems that the last group who still have personal comments made about them are tall people. We have a good friend who is 6'6" & there's always someone who makes a thoughtless remark. A couple of years ago I heard someone showing her ignorance & my G&Ts took over; I don't know if she joined Slimming World but the look on her face when I suggested it might be a good idea was priceless.

Hey, I am half an inch shorter.

Out with a friend once, who is 5'8" tall in Debenhams, I spotted something and walked over to it. Came back a few moments later to be told "I was talking to the woman behind me. I thought it was you as she is short!" I was like thanks:rolleyes:

I worked some years back with a woman who was 5 feet tall and used to say to me, hey big girl can you reach that down to me?

Can I say a folding umbrella is brilliant for reaching higher shelves in supermarkets. Yes, keep the umbrella folded up, pull the handle out reach up and knock down what you want. Before I used wait until I spotted a passing male or taller woman and ask.

I rechecked the stash and thought I had a 100ml Atropa Belladonna, but I don’t! So I could be in for this depending on price, especially as there are no body products. I have used both of the hand creams I got last year and must say I liked them, although wouldn’t go out of my way to buy them. I must mention the M. Asam Vitamin C hand cream though which I got in their almost TSV priced set. I haven’t used the skincare but the hand cream is really good imho, and I am fussy about hand cream.

Well, this makes me feel a bit better about my likely impending purchase. I was going to keep quiet about it! Like you, I thought I had a bigger bottle of S&B, Blood Oranges in my case. I checked the cupboard and my list and realised I only had a 10ml so I’m tempted to get this TSV in the BO (unfortunate initials for perfume!). I do have body products in that fragrance but the hard cream is tempting, too. I need to know the price first.

Thanks also for the M. Asam hand cream recommendation.
 
Glad to be of service! When I use Blood Oranges I don’t much like it on me, but it is one of the few perfumes to elicit a compliment from a people I don’t know! I had it with me last year in hospital and people really liked it.

I like quite a few S&B fragrances but definitely prefer Blood Oranges (or ****** Oranges, as it is called a few times on the website). I must admit, I have hardly worn it but I'm going to do so now and wait for the compliments!

Come on QVC, I need the price! I am guessing somewhere between £55 and £60 inc P&P?? I'm not sure I'm going to be keen on all the 10ml bottle smells so any more and I might have to give it a miss. I do need to consider how much I keep spending on perfume as well.
