I would love a Skagen but it has been mentioned on here that the batteries are hard to replace and some jewellers wont touch them with a bargepole. Do you have to return them to the manuf. to get a replacement? Thanks.

My jeweller will replace the battery but no one will be able to replace a leather strap. You have to send it back to Skagen and it costs £26, which is about a third of the price of the watch in the first place. I just keep the tatty old leather one.
