To try and look intelligent!!! No I think maybe it's for those who don't need glasses and just want the anti blue light aspect. With the sunglasses though, they'd only be any good if you were reading as soon as you look up from what your reading or the close work you're doing, they make you feel giddy, so you'd have to carry 2 pairs of sunglasses around with you. I suppose you could perch one pair on top of your head and keep the reading ones in your bag!
