What does QVC do with returned make up?

No but they are putting a brush into a pot, then onto someones greasy face and then back into the pots again. (not saying that everyone has greasy faces,)

When I did my VERY limited training we where taught to use a spatula and put what ever we where using onto pallet, a bit like artists use to stop cross contamination. This was not the most cost effective method but by far the most hygienic.
We had to use a clean pallet and set of brushes with every client.
They where always well washed and sanitised after every use.

I'm not a make up artist but I do other people's make up sometimes, and I use newly cleaned brushes for each person and don't double dip and go back for seconds after the brush has been in contact with their face - but I do pop some on the back of my hand quite often and dip back to there.

I agree that it's weird that MUA-ers sometimes think that it's Ok to trade a tested cosmetic for another cosmetic but not for cash!
