Awful sickly Charlie Bears advert

Yes, I noticed that. Love the credit score animals (Moose the Boxer, and Flearoy the scheming power-crazed cat).

Slightly random, but anyone else spotted Marie-Francoise in an online casino ad?

I haven't seen her in that one but I have seen Ali Bailey, much-loved B&W model, in an ad for toothpaste (sensitive). I'm glad she's not perfect..!

I do tend to agree a lot with what Julius says - but mainly its the bears dotted around the house I have issues with, - like those who have dressed dolls scattered about, all a bit odd to me. Personally the all 'white' ad featuring Julie Peony wafting around in her girly frock, makes me want to throw up, caressing the flowers oh so carefully. Then for a while there was the Will and Alison Young promo where they were both dressed in soft grey against a white and grey backdrop - sooooo obvious.

Most of the QVC filmed promos for their brands are laughable. Some are also seriously out of date and feature long-gone products and styles.

I'm already bracing for whatever they come up with for Christmas this year. Do we get more irritating Bublé? Do we get wannabe horror film sound track Carol of the Bells? Will something else be dredged out to annoy us instead? Will we get the faux-fun of getting together a whole bunch of Q presenters, guests and models? Of course, with so many of the "old familiars" having been let go from the modelling ranks, they could just use some random person off the street and we'd be none-the-wiser!

It would be great if they had a realistic promo, of someone in a normal size house rather than a quasi-stately home receiving parcels and then trying to find places to put things (particularly if they have already large amounts of Q stock stashed away from partner's prying eyes and comments about the strain on the bank balance)... oh, and people opening gifts and saying "who the heck are [insert brand name here]?"

Just once I'd love to see a promo ad where instead of the characters being shown laughing manically, they're all sat around looking like Victoria Beckham on a good day (?) - now that IS real life !!
