I bought a gorgeous black poodle coat over a year ago from Primark. Absolutely love it. Very long and snuggly. I have a beautiful bee pin from QVC black and yellow diamonique to set it off

I dont think so its very substantial ....but I dont see why not if you have a big enough washing machine wash it on the wool setting, spin on short and allow it to dry without too much direct heat but somewhere warm.
