I like my gilets have quite a few quilted ones.Wear them when I just need a bit more warmth but not a coat & when very cold under a coat.This is too bulky & would be too warm on the body to be sleeveless.( does that make sense?!)

I understand what you mean & it's a useful garment especially for those like me who don't feel the cold. I just borrow my Mr T's!
