I have never sampled Hotel Chocolat, and the chocolates do look delicious. However, the plastic tray they are displayed on is cheap and tacky looking. I like my chocolates to be in separate frilly cases that you finally have to rustle through, hoping there is one chocolate left. As for the hot chocolate machine, you get two mugs but the machine only makes enough for one serving. So if you are sharing, you will only get half a beaker, or have to make another pot.

Do you pour very hot tea into a saucer to cool, then drink it from the saucer? Or have you forgotten what saucers are ?

Well at least the HC choc doesn't need cooling as it is not hot enough in the first place.

Stratobuddy... Have you tried substituting your own shaved chocolate instead of using theirs? Maybe it wouldn't melt, though, if the milk doesn't get really hot.

Yes, you can try anything that will grate. Lots of ideas on Youtube, including freezing a Mars bar then grating this.

I was in Home Bargains today and they had hot chocolate gift sets. They looked quite nice but I`m not a fan of hot chocolate. A really good price and nicely boxed.
