The presenters seemed to have upped their game recently? Yesterday with Julia, Dale was more serious than he usually is and wasn't trying to be an entertainer/comedian. Pipa seems more entusiastic and not so bored just really interested in all the products. Lots more descriptions. Even Claudia seems to have cut all the laughing. Maybe it's just me imagining things ! or are they worried at the u'k's favourite shopping channel?

They've probably all been pulled in for a 'pep talk'. <a href="http://photobucket.com/images/telling%20off%20smilies" target="_blank"><img src="http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee184/Linda_75/Smilies/tellingoff.gif" border="0" alt="telling off computer Pictures, Images and Photos"/></a>

I know what you mean and it surprises me that she gets so many of the prestigious shows. She seems very pally with Nicky from Lola Rose. I would imagine the "best" presenters get the most popular shows, do you think this is how it works? Must be popular with the bosses then.

Could you imagine that? Not worth thinking about really, is it!!! I wonder how they get to know which shows they're doing? I can only imagine the back-stabbing. It must be there, surely.

Every now and again the preseners give stuff away with their off the cuff comments. Always makes me laugh. There must be real cliques and "gangs" there, don't you think?

I enjoy a bit of banter but sometimes they really take the mick.

I remember watching a jewellery show with Ann Dawson and for an hour is was her christmas and new year holiday stories. Items came on and went and she just seemed to ignore them.:20:

I did notice Dale and Julia last night seemed to be on the ball and not all lovey lovely. I need the facts to decide if I want something. No I didn't, was only watching when the ad breaks where on. But you never know.

Do you remember the last show Dale and Julia did together, I think it was silver day finale. Julia was all over the shop and acting very erratic, but yesterday she was quite calm in comparison.

When she was doing the silver day finale show, Julia said to Dale, do you know that Platinum has an I in it, which made me wonder what an irrelevant comment to come out with. Then I thought, I wonder if that was a dig at another presenter, who maybe has difficulties pronouncing the world platinum.:10:

I do think there probably is a pecking order for all the top shows.

I'm sure there's the 'top dogs' and the 'bottom feeders'. I wouldn't like to say who's who though! Personally I think it's a tough gig and all in all they do it well.... most of them.....Sometimes.

I cant stand that Julia if she was Chocolate she would eat herself all she seems to care about is getting things for nothing from the guests and as for the "I am a size small" story who is she trying to kid.

Why do they do it? Very prestigious brand, £3,000 rings, Dale in overdrive ..... and they use a model like Goody. Seems a very nice woman but she has the hands of a 60 year old. Nothing wrong with a 60 year old hand, but they're trying to SELL. I know it's been said before but they have to use proper models for jewellery shows. It's like they'll have anyone who'll pitch up......aaaahhhh...

i would have thought that most people who are going to buy a £3k ring from QVC are going to be in the older age bracket so i expect goody was a good(y) choice.

she is very "model" innit. like "oldschool" modelling. i like that. sharon and amica are the same. they know what theyre doing.

i developed a soft spot for Goody when i saw her modelling a Dennis Basso faux fur jacket (ok Basso haters.... we know how you feel, this isnt about you!)... anyway - the coat was vile. Very 1950's american swing style with 3 quarter sleeves.

however Goody came out wearing the offending item with a pair of black ski pants, elbow length black gloves, jackie O sunnies, and a faux fur cossack hat. she pulled this amazing princess grace of monaco pose and looked friggin' fabulous. even Basso was taken aback.

Look and learn junior model bee-yatches!

I wonder if QVC have a casting couch?

The other day she corrected a guest who called her Julie and said that her mum would be watching and she got upset when people called her Julie. I thought it was really rude, I assume the guest was new and probably quite nervous and she must have been made to feel very uncomfortable. I also felt it was cowardly to correct her but hide behind the excuse of her mum being upset.

Jill Franks is always going on about her being a lifestyle/fitness/nutritioun person but whatever she does doesn't make her look good. She always looks grey and drawn to me. Not a good advert for her services.

I still always think of her as The Foot Woman, cos when she used to only come on doing the health and fitness products, she almost always had her trouser legs rolled up and her feet in some sort of blummin' footspa thing. Yuk.
