yes and no. bunny cake is sweet with a slight lemon cakey smell. its more subtle than cotton candy that is a real hard hit of sweet spun sugar. its way over the top throw wise and it works. when it was my grand aughters birthday we burned it lovely
 
Does anyone know what the YC TSV is on 29 October? I've had a good old look but no pics or even hints of what's in it that I can find.
 
Well whatever it is, let's hope they can get the stock here.

My last AD drop was about three weeks late, the WJ AD is now six weeks late and they have only just aired the Autumn scents everyone else had months ago (and the others are now on Winter scents and Christmas treasures). I think something has got a bit muddled in the Q:YC deliveries.

I have a horrible feeling the Christmas Yankee Candle TSV will be votives and tealights, rather than proper candles. I won't bother with votives (too messy and fiddly to get out of the holders) but I do quite like tealights.

The Macaron Treats is one of the most vile scents I've come across from any candlemaker. Star Anise & Orange is quite nice - the anise smell isn't too overpowering, when cold at least.

From last year I loved Cosy by the Fire (that smoky note)... but didn't like Bundle Up (smells like Clean Cotton with a bit of a wintery overlay to me - and I loathe that whole family of scents ... clean cotton, fluffy towels, soft blanket and the worst of the lot... baby powder).

I've no room for all the candle newness in my new candle storage area, so I justify a different area which is for Christmas stuff... So my excuse will be dead and buried if I carry on shopping and indulging in non-Christmassy ones. Ooops!

Candles are an integral part of the festive season, and - as such - a separate storage area is entirely justifiable. :nod: Your new shelving sounded fantastic, bet they look lovely all lined up. The votives are messy, ours never just "pop out" as they're supposed to if you put a drop of water in the holder. I got the TSV earlier in the year with the lamp, so don't mind so much with that, as the votive holder is hidden inside. I've already got some Christmas votives, though, so won't be buying if it's votives / tea lights again - especially as they're likely to include this year's festive fragrances. Would be lovely if they did a trio of large jars in a choice of fresh, foodie etc.

I like most of the ones you mention in your post above, but cannot take vanilla if it smells like it should be in the middle of a sponge. Black cherry, which so many love, I simply cannot smell when it is burning so my nose is obviously defective! No role as a chandler for me. I agree about cinnamon stick, I find it very strong and just one note, whereas sparkling cinnamon is great. Sometimes when I am pairing mine up, it is not finding something to complement the candle but to calm it down, LOL.

This hasn't happened to me with a candle yet, but I feel your pain as L'Occitane have reformulated Arlesienne, my favourite fragrance. The new one is lovely, but completely different. When I saw the duo on the Q website, I assumed they'd just updated the packaging, but alas..

That's exactly how I'd describe Christmas Memories, curried!! I'd never heard of Vesta Curry, it was Findus Crispy Pancakes and Bernard Matthews Turkey burgers when I was a kid!

Retail always works ahead, trust QVC to be bringing up the rear! I might have been interested in the Autumn trio (although probably not, as the Autumn Nights was the only one I loved), but it's too late now, I'd never get them burnt before I wanted to start on our festive ones. Surely most people will have either given up and bought them from elsewhere, or decided not to bother now?
 
Am I the only one who got a blast of sweaty socks from Macaron Treats. Even my brother agreed with me. Far worse than curry (even the Vesta ones)...

Rainbow's End arrived today, and smells really fresh but lighter than I was expecting. I think the idea conveyed by the name, as much as the scent, is behind its legendary status. As it is a fresh and somewhat ozonic scent, it's definitely a keeper...

And I've decided I now need to stock up on some more festive melts and tealights, as I cannot justify getting any more candles (however tempting) unless I can magic up some more space for them.
 
I have just seen on Wax Addicts that the large jars are going up by £2 to £23.99 from Jan 1. That is the biggest increase. It looked as if only tealights are staying the same.

Hopefully at some point QVC will get some images of these :mysmilie_50: and details of the votives/t-light selection offered. I realise that these postings of your finds can often be very early before they are coming to air, so I'll hope they get "fleshed out" in due course.
 
If anyone is interested Temptation Gifts have got some good deals on Yankee Candles at the moment. Selected fragrances but quite a good selection for example 2 large jar candles for £30. If you order over £50 its free postage. They come very quickly too.

Thanks SCW, I'm going to bide my time and see what the reviews are like first - I've got enough vanilla/foodie smells for the mo as well as something similar to Silver Birch so it's Feliz Navidad I'm really interested in
