Our Polti, bought from QVC about 18 years ago is still going strong. Expensive at the time, it paid for itself when a lava lamp exploded depositing red wax over the carpet and back of an armchair. We thought they'd be a write off but the polti lifted out the oily wax and the red stain. I can recommend the iron attachment too; I haven't tried the steam generator iron though.
