Poor Julia looks like a badly stuffed sausage in the Onjenu dress she is wearing now... tummy and chest sticking out in front. I keep wanting her to turn around to see the rear end, even the modells haven't got much room from the back. lol

julia and debbie flint are very short so the camera will be very hard on them. same with alison young. she's soon tiny very slim and petite but not so much on tv

Not sure if Julia would like to be described as very short. She is often at pains to describe herself as five foot four and a half. Hoping the extra half each takes her well clear of the short category!

I don't know why people can't be a bit more honest with themselves, and accept that are a little short or have a bit of a tummy, I have and don't particularly like it but I try to wear clothese that are a bit more flattering and don't try and squeeze myself into something that clearly doesn't fit, and must be uncomfortable particularly under the studio lights.
If Q Liverpool are responsible for sending the incorrect sizes well they need a re-think, surely if the clothes fitted better and looked better on the presenters people would be more tempted to risk the postage costs and try some of their so called fashion

Julia is looking very dark brown, I know she's just back from holiday but I got bit of a shock when I saw her on my telly the other day!

Maybe it was a new Chocolate Self Tan!!!!! :mysmilie_15::mysmilie_15::mysmilie_15:

I don't think it is just Liverpool sending the wrong sizes. JR really does think she is a small, she tries too hard to emphasise the fact at every opportunity.

I watched a bit of one of her 'fashion' hours last night (don't know if it was the same one?) and thought she looked most uncomfortable in what she was wearing, she was also promoting sandals and the trousers she was wearing were skin tight and made her legs look swollen when they did close-ups of her lower legs and feet. Admittedly I only watch Q for about 5 mins at a time (I have a low tolerance level) but I cannot recall ever seeing her wearing clothes that actually look like they fit her, come to think of it. I cannot understand why anymore would think it looks nice to pour yourself into a size that's way too small, totally ridiculous. If the reason is that Q only provide sizes 10/12 then why can't someone blurdy well tell them that the presenter is NOT a size 10/12! Rocket science it ain't.

From what I saw of her yesterday and the tightness of the clothes she was wearing, I'd say it's more likely her colour was Sweaty Red! :mysmilie_19: Under those studio lights it must be baking hot if you are wearing clothes that are too small for you.

Too be fair she has just come back from holiday and has probably put weight on, I have put half and stone on very easily and it has gone to my a%$& and tummy.

QVC relies on visual sales so if a garment looks awful on the guest or the models or the presenter, then I can`t see it doing their sales figures any favours. You`d think Q would go overboard to ensure people are wearing the correct size because the better it looks on screen then the more people will be tempted to buy it. I didn`t actually like the dress Julia was wearing but if I had liked it and was considering buying it after seeing how it looked on her would have put me right off.

So right. I'd say it would put most people off, so I cannot for the life of me see where they are coming from, and to me it makes no business sense. And female viewers are not stupid, we can judge for ourselves pretty accurately whether a presenter's size is the one she is quoting!

Maybe nobody dare tell her she is NOT a size small.

Hmmm... I dunno, looks a bit **** to me :mysmilie_11:

It was cringeworthy when JR asked Julie from Peony flaaars where her invitation to Julie's 50th birthday bash was. She mentioned that she hadn't had one in the post and Julie suddenly got all flustered about what she was trying to present. She was clearly embarrassed, then hesitated and said "of course you can come". I firmly believe that JR was not joking about it and will probably push her way in. She's the last person I'd want at a party! Talk about inviting yourself. Under the circumstances, I'm sure Julie felt obliged to ask her and, no doubt, JR will use it for bragging rights.

It's almost as bad with JF! She was practically licking Julie's boots the day before, and constantly going on about how she would looooooove to see the estate. We all know these presenters are nothing and not the sort of people Julie is likely to want to socialise with outside of business.

JR 50 IDON'T THINK SO SHE IS 61 YEARS OF AGE Born 1956 :mysmilie_14:

Although she's got her passive sales technique down to a fine art, I find her sarcasm at others people's expense and her intimidation a complete and utter turn off. She seems to want to sound posh by the sounds of it, but if she ever gives up her day job (the day that'll be declared a national public Bank Holiday) she'd be great at entering all those gurning competitions, with those faces she pulls, she'll win hands down.

Well she is coming up to the traditional 'woman's retirement age' (or she may have hit it), but I think being the first person on Q thus there since day one, she can pretty much get away with doing anything. I mean DF can so surely JR has a lot more leverage. She does tend to say things and then give a 'look' so us the viewers will know that what she has said was 'tongue in cheek', the problem with banter is that it is OK when in a work/social space, but when you are on TV then it can sometimes come across as awkward, especially if the guest presenter is from a country that doesn't quite 'get it'. No sometimes she does go a bit too far.
