I can't remember the date when I ordered but feels like ages ago now. I emailed them over the weekend as September has certainly come and gone but I've had no reply. I sent another email off this morning.
Pleased you have received yours at least they must still be sending them out.

Yes, don't give up hope yet. They are usually pretty quick to reply so I'm surprised they haven't replied to your weekend email. There's someone there called Mel who is very good and helpful.

Finally received an answer. They have said 500 orders are still waiting to be delivered and mine is one of them. So looks like another two week wait.

The offer really was a huge success, wasn't it? I think you'll find it worth the wait, frustrating as it is to have to wait so long.

Sorry to be a pain, but I'm trying to contact all boxed up (by email - don't have a number for them!) and not getting any response so just wondered how long I should wait and what to so if not ;)

I placed an order 31st October for the Autumn glow box. £14.99 inc pandp and it said allow UP to 28 days for delivery... Well it suddenly struck end of last week, we're into December now and no sign of it or even the promised despatch message! I wanted one item for myself but rest is for pressies so getting bit nervous now....
Thanks to any responders! :)

Hi TLL. This company is notoriously quite slow to despatch and I gather not always great at replying to enquiries, although they have either replied to me within 24 hours or a couple of days. You probably don't need to worry that your order is lost but I can see why you would be worried about it being so close to Xmas if you want to give items as presents.

I take it you used this email address: [email protected] ? Try sending a fresh one and say you are getting a bit worried. I take it you have seen on their website it says they are open 10.00am - 4.00pm and they aim to reply within 3 working days. I don't use Facebook but if you do, it looks like they are quite quick to reply on there (someone asking this week about delivery times): https://www.facebook.com/AllBoxedUpMediaLtd/

Hi Andi, you absolute star :) Thank you very much for your reply and advice. Hadn't even thought of trying Facebook so I think I will ask my mum if I can nab her account to send them a message. Here's hoping I hear back soon. Thanks again!

Very happy if the info helped. Hopefully you will hear back via Facebook if not by email. Let us know how you get on.

I've just realised I never received an acknowledgement of my recent order - about 10 days ago, I think. They have some great deals but they need to work on their customer service and communications.

Well just an update. I never received a reply to Facebook message but the only way to contact them on their Facebook page is via a comment under an un-related post they've made - they've sneakily not got the facility to make a general post to the page like most companies seem to! Mainly on there people moaning about them taking money weeks ago and still waiting!!

I finally got an email from Helen a week later, saying since money had been taken and it's now 45 days later she assumes it got lost in the post...! I'm not convinced it was ever despatched but she says she will chase their warehouse and get a new one sent to me. Not v apologetic and I'm frustrating as I wanted the facial tan for my sis in law's birthday at the end of November really but fingers crossed she can have it for Christmas...! But not holding my breath ATM!! X

I've had mixed delivery times from ABU; one set came in a a couple of days and another took a month. I assumed they are a bit like Secret Sales, Brand Alley or Vente Prive in that they collect the orders and then they're fulfilled from another warehouse or company. Their T&Cs say:

All Boxed Up is a specialist promotions agency that creates specific themed boxes for consumer purchase. All sales are limited in terms of time and stock and all orders are subject to availability. Due to the nature of our business, we may not have the items in stock. Instead, we would have reserved the items with our supplier for the duration of the sale and only ordered it from our supplier at the end of the sale and therefore we may have to wait to receive items from our suppliers. Consequently, whilst we endeavour to dispatch items within the indicated dates, orders may sometimes take longer and we will advise Buyers of the status where applicable.

I notice they have a PO box in Pulborough which isn't far from my home and another address in Barnet. But where the stock is held is anybody's guess.

So sorry to hear this. The very first time I bought a set from them (probably 5 years ago now), I spotted they got a load of abuse on Facebook because they had advertised an OPI nail polish was included but sent out a Nails Inc one. Anyone relying on FB would never have shopped with them, seeing such negativity, and that's probably why they took away the ability just to post a fresh message on the main page. They also stress in the T&Cs that substitutions may be made to avoid similar complaints.

For what it's worth (and they'll probably let me down now I have said this), I don't think the company is 'dodgy' - just disorganised, with poor communications. For a lot of people, that's enough to boycott them but I'll probably continue to use them unless/until they really screw up with an order of mine ... not that I order regularly by any means. I think I've only had 3 or 4 sets and I've never been in a hurry for any of it. I can see why you are cross though.

Good luck with it.

I think you are right. They clearly get caught out by the popularity of some sets they advertise and then have to wait ages for the stock, especially the sets they promote via the Daily/Sunday Telegraph. While some delays are no doubt unavoidable, they really do need to work on their customer service and keep people informed.

I agree about the set-up and how they work... I suspect stock does come in from brands themselves? But I have noticed many of their sets reuse the same items, so maybe they secure a ton of stock and just make up different offers from what they have?!
As for delivery times etc, if they had let me know it would be well over a month, I would've been happier (or more likely cancelled my order!) especially as they took my money the day the order was placed...

Not too cross (not worth it!) just frustrated! I agree I don't think they're dodgy just slightly incompetent ;) And don't have the resources to deal with big/successful offers...! I await my offer with baited breath ;)

i think they may use the money from your (and everyone elses order) to fund buying the stock
i think/suspect that is how Brandalley works as well
they will have negotiated some prices but most likely not have handed over the spondulex
and actually have the stock
there was something on Brandalley on radio 4 a year or more ago
and people thought they were going bust
but it seems to be their business model

where they don't take the risk themselves of buying and having stock
but bid for a price/volume and go ahead with order from supplier only once they have the orders and payments from customers
i suspect it is sort of more like a broker than a retailer
anyhow, i am not completely certain, but that's what i came up with when i connected the dots

and so, once in a while, some brokered deals unravel i guess ....

I only found ABU through this forum but have ordered twice from them. Both orders came in about 2 weeks. I got the Peksniff box this week and I'm delighted with it. Great value and P&P included. Wish I'd ordered a few as its so good.

I've been so tempted by the Pecksniffs set. What does Iced Tea & Fig smell like though? Can you describe it at all - is it fresh, sweet, fruity or what? I tried to find it in a shop so I could smell it but no joy. It does look a bargain!

I`ve just risked ordering from them for the first time. Fingers crossed they don`t let me down. I received the offer of a Bellapierre box containing a 12 eyeshadow palette, bronzer, handcream, mascara and a nail polish.

That looks like a good range of products Vi, no obvious lemons. You may have to wait a while for it to arrive with the festive holidays.
