Gemporia Selling Bleached Pearls as "Naturally White"

What is going on?!

I knew something was fishy with their "naturally coloured" pearls when I saw that they were from China. Some form of feed or environmental tampering I suspected but this is not really cricket.

Utterly disgraceful. But no surprise if Gemporia is trying to get through a financial crisis and flogging cheap goods as prestige items. And it's not like their presenters and "gem experts and broadcasters" are renowned for being truthful

It's getting as bad as way back when they insisted they had a parcel of Russian Alexandria from a private collector. Some time past and it was found out actually it was Indian Alexandria.
