Rosa has some kind of lay role with the Diocese of, I believe, Herefordshire. I think it might be in the welfare arena: I did read it on the website but have forgotten.

In that big photo, Steven must surely have used various filters. That makeup is absolutely pristine with no hint of a line anywhere. And I agree with Boffy, he was a nice looking chap.

He looks like a character in Avatar or some other CGI animated film.

I have been buying Yankee from elsewhere since it left QVC, I must say that I love the new signature jars, they are so much more attractive than the old ones. The reed diffusers are nicer as well. Just watching Rosa now with Ophelia, I must say the latter isnt too bad presenting this. Some of the prices dont seem too bad if you like to buy a variety of fragrances in a set, I am glad Yankee have come back albeit for an occasional show.

I cannot imagine he makes much as an influencer does he? 2500 doesn’t sound like many to me in the advertising world. Still he must get some money from somewhere! His shop was burgled wasn’t it, and then YC opened up nearby and put him out of business iirc. The selfies I have seen all seemed to be about the fact he has lost weight so maybe he represents some food/diet brand? It’s a bit egocentric though isn’t it, posting endless body shots? I mean apart from family I never got any indication that he spent time latterly with anyone else. But then I haven’t seen his pix for a long while now. I liked him as a BA though, .

I know I am digging this thread up but I will say I do like Rosa. Out of all of the BA’s Rosa is my my No.1 fave

It’s a shame the way Yankee has gone. I have some ten year old jars never opened them / so I am wondering if the scent may have long gone ?

C-Lion, why would you buy candles and keep them for 10 years and not burn them? Surely that's the point of buying, to burn and enjoy the scent? It's not a criticism because I kept Yankee melts for a while but they went all shrivelled and then didn't smell so good when I used them. I've long burned all my stash and don't buy them any more but I do miss my Turquoise Sky and my Sweet Pea.

I have been asked by a few people, do you burn your candles? Yes! They just keep them for decoration, it seems. I am talking Jo Malone, a friend was selling her flat in Spain and had Jo Malone candles just sitting for decoration.

Well, I put them in a box in the loft prior to moving house and forgot about them!!! These were the Christmas ones that Dobbies were selling off at 40% off.

I then forgot all about them until two weeks ago when I was moving the Christmas decorations into big plastic boxes - I chucked out the cardboard boxes - that I found them at the bottom!!

Mad I know but there it is!

I’m ‘done’ with candles. When I’ve used up my stash that will be it.

I bought Jo Malone candles for my 5 nieces & nieces in law last year and they say they won’t burn them. They smell fab just sitting with the lids off.
(I’m not a millionaire aunty, I just happened to find a small stock in an Estée Lauder ‘factory outlet’ store in Florida for half the UK price. )

I'm currently using yankee candles that I've had 6+ years, the "stragglers" from sets and they are fine although I have kept them in a dark cupboard - I vaguely remember it being said the fragrance weakens like perfum in daylight. If you put yours in the loft over a couple of seasons that may have affected them - I was thinking about storing some of mine there (in the days when I couldn't resist candles either online or in the highstreet) but Craig, the presenter, was talking to Rosa about how his got "ruined" due to the extreme changes in temperature. I dont know if this was the burn or the smell. yours are ok . These days I'm enjoying melts more as I like changing fragrances every few days....?

I’m currently burning Apricot Sun Rose (I think it’s called) from a few years back and it’s really nice and I find it quite strong. Sadly the weather hasn’t improved to match the Spring atmosphere I was hoping to create!
