Hi all,

It may just be be choosing 'quiet times' but has the chat room on Rocks died a death??? I had a break from the site after the debarcle over which room we were supposed to discuss stuff in and the whole whizzing posts backwards and forwards etc.... I was only tempted back by the different ring sizes now on offer but every time i'm there it seems sooooo quiet. I didn't chat much anyway but enjoyed reading the chat. Now there seems to be none to read has everyone ran out of things to say?

i dont log in any more seems by reading the posts that you had to be careful what you said or it would upset someone dont need that just wanted to buy good bling and have chat with fellow blingsters wasnt happening any more so have kept out do miss the natter though

I was on for a bit yesterday, but I don't chat much anymore either...much more of a lurker these days! Used to be able to have a really good banter, but a lot of the people I used to chat with (and share the naughty step with!) don't seem to be about any more, and the newbie frequenters....well lets just say they don't appreciate my humour in the same way as SP, Mothy and Perds!!!! LMAO!!!

I stopped chatting quite a while ago now when the first nastiness reared its ugly head. In fact I don't even watch very often now as there doesn't seem much to tempt me. Pleased I was there at the start though.

I lurk now all the time (while I work - lol). I have to say though that I think a lot of it depends on who's presenting. Some people respond to the chat room a lot, while others hardly even notice what is going on in the chat room and spend most of their time talking to the 'crew'.
IMHO it helps a lot if the presenter 'banters' with the chat room because it then makes you feel part of what is going on, instead of totally being left out. Probably totally wrong though. There is also the poing, which has been made, about saying the 'wrong' thing, and then having your head bitten off - which I can tell you is quite painful ... at times!!

Before we had to watch our p's and q's so much, I found chat would keep me on the site at times when I wasn't particularly interested in a given item. I went in for a while yesterday, but after having watched endless pairs of earrings (which I am unable to wear) I lost interest and left. Once upon a time I'd have been there for hours completely losing track of time and spend, which was fun for me and good for Rocks. I'm sure I'm not alone. I got to "know" several people which I don't think is possible now as folk are no longer as relaxed as they were.

Oh he's marvellous, thanks! Just started his A-Levels and has won himself a place at University if he does well...he is going to study Geology and see if he can find himself. Have told him to be careful...I have heard about these little rocks going off to Uni and getting stoned all the time, and that would just never do!!! hee hee!!!

I think you're absolutely right ... Jamie and Barry are really good at keeping an eye on the chat and joining in. I tend to lurk in the evenings but for some reason I find it more relaxed in the afternoons and usually join in.

I still have a problem remembering what people on here call themselves on Rocks. :33: ... not you of course M4G!
