OMG Alison.....let the poor man speak why don't you!?!

too personaly even

I hope she reads every post.
She is rude, totally without manners and unprofessional.
When an expert guest is on promoting a product, she should allow them to speak and allow them to do their job for the customer!
she interrupts mid sentence, shouts over people and is caustic to some.

She deserves a dressing down by management. She is far far too big for her riding boots.
I don't think of her as an "expert" in anything. She is a sales woman who inarticulately promotes absolutely everything as "literally actually fantastically brilliant" and I can't bear to watch her embarassing herself on TV.

Last night's performance with Lulu was cringeworthy!!

My goodness, I just watched her with Lulu online, I haven't watched Alison for a few months and she has changed alot, so much worse. So many literally's, its horrible, really horrible, like a parody of herself.

I know AY babbling on is old hat but is it just me or is she actually getting worse?
I quite wanted to hear what guest Paul Yacomine had to say about his hair products but the beastly woman just won't shut up long enough to give him a chance!
All I've found out so far is that he has done all the cover shoots on the big mags & works with a number of 'A' listers - arrgghh, fuming! I want to know how his products might help the DD with the tortured hair! lol

She is like a Sargeant Major at the moment with Andrew!

I think quite a few of the QVC presenters have gotten worse, it probably has something to do with them being frustrated showbiz wannabees.
Her attitude is getting weirder as well, definitely OTT as far as staying out of the sun goes - yesterday she announced she would be riding her horses at 5am & 9pm to avoid the sun completely!
What does she do the rest of the day then, hide in the cupboard under the stairs wearing factor 1 billion sunscreen? I know over-exposure to the sun is bad for you but that's verging on the ridiculous.....& the positively paranoid!
That really is plain weird, she’s probably paranoid about the ageing process, hasn’t she heard of a sun hat.
If, as the orginal posted says, her rabbiting on & on & onnnnnnnnnnnnnnn is actually preventing prospective buyers from hearing about the product, what it does, who's it's suitable for etc then couldn't we complain about it?? After all shopping telly , much more so than high street shops where you can ask someone or read the packing blurb, must rely heavily on the presenter's clear descriptions and demonstrations and if their 'look / listen to me me me is obstructing that then they should be told.
Couldn’t agree more, shouldn’t their presentation be more in the style of an infomercial, i.e. getting the facts across, not conveying the contents of their social calendar.

Sometimes I think the constant interruptions are done on purpose. I’ve also noticed a lot of QVC presenters (particularly Alison and Julia) like to take phone calls at inopportune moments, so they don't have to convey all the facts.:38::16:
She isn't a presenter, she's the resident beauty expert - for you.;)
Literally not for me, my residential beauty expert happens to be an actually qualified dermatologist, although they don’t have over 20 years of experience, but it's the quality of the experience that is the most important!
I wish I'd been there, then I could've done the same! lol

AY is not only irritating but (& again, I don't think it's just me!), she seems to be getting ruder & ruder & turning into more & more of a tyrant as time goes on! Telling people what they can & can't use, what they can & can't do, even snatching things off people, binning their 'unsuitable' products (both only off-air though......so far!), she's more beauty dictator than expert!
Exactly, I never knew it was a crime to use anti ageing products if you’re under a certain age.:28::58:

She is UNWATCHABLE,my heart actually sinks if she's launching a beauty TSV,as much as I love the beauty shows,I avoid anything which says"In the Salon" coz it will usually be her.
Much prefer to watch Pipa,Catherine,Alison(leather sofa skin)Keenan or even Julia because then at least I might hear what the products actually do rather than"I must warn you over 500 units sold now, literally your best bet is Q-cut".....

She is a walking, talking nightmare! And to avoided at all costs.

Thing is, we need to know what the products actually do & whether or not they will suit us as individuals before making the decision to buy, as yes, there may well be a 30 day mbg but when you have to keep paying p&p both ways on any mistake purchases, it gets a bit expensive! (Or maybe that's the idea! lol)

The fact that some celebrity uses it is neither here nor there, unless I know for a fact the particular celebrity in question is the same age group as me & has the same complexion/hair type/skin & eye colour etc.!
Presumably this must influence some people though.......?

The celebrity thing annoys me too. I have no interest in celebrities. Hand on heart although I know the name I have no idea who Cheryl Cole is or what she looks like, so how the **** do I know that what she wears will suit me.

As for Alison, well they really need to get a new beauty expert. She's impossible to watch, she comes across as charmless and screechy and totally unapproachable. I'm sure in real life she's a lovely person but her on screen persona is awful.

Neal's Yard Remedies on Ideal World, now that's gotta hurt.

Neal's Yard Remedies on Ideal World, now that's gotta hurt.

Oh, now that's something I'd love to see on QVC Jasper! I can't get Ideal World on my TV currently so I can't even see what items they're doing! :(
Anything nice worth risking the poor delivery for?

I’m glad Neal’s Yard Remedies (imo one of the best British beauty brands) is on Ideal World, as at least we get to see and hear about the products and ingredients. Because I like to know what the main ingredients are, not that some celebrity (who has probably had a bit of artificial assistance) is using it!

Alison would totally annihilate the brand if it was on QVC. As the guest would start by saying something along the lines of Neal's Yard Remedies organic skin and body care and natural remedies use the finest organic .... only to be bombarded with 'I’m afraid I’m gonna have to stop you there, to let the viewers know we have queues on the phone, QVC Qcut and the red active button are the way to go..... You’re here with myself Alison Young your resident beauty expert on QVC, with over 20 years experience in the beauty industry started out as a qualified beauty therapist, head of training at Clarins, Grayshott hall yadda yadda..... We have the biggest stock in the UK more than any other salon or retailer, because we are the number one retailer as we buy in bulk' (<B>yes but other retailers don’t charge separate p&p for each item, so you’re not always the cheapest stockist</B>)!....

Hi KWC Neal’s Yard Remedies also have a mail order shop at http://shop.nealsyardremedies.com/ they also offer free UK delivery on all orders over £40.

P.S Neals Yard won the CEW award for Best British Brand.:21::1:

I've always been a fan of the brand, as I like their holistic background.:21: I know what you mean about wanting everything, they really have thought of everything.:32:
