At first glance these look ok although there's something a bit dated about them. Then I got to thinking who really needs to have an umbrella clanking around as they walk? Then if it rains you're stuck with a wet umbrella clanking around. Not such a good idea.

Yeah,I suppose I didn't think about you got a brolly with it.

That said I never use a brolly, can't stand them and I agree with BF about a wet brolly clanking around.

Ooooh BF! Sounds like you are talking yourself into a Moira C special with zipped bottom for your wet brolly, or trainers after Zumba etc......... Only £60.

Uh, no. Not since I actually saw someone carrying one! I've often wondered who on earth buys all this stuff from the telly and then I saw HER. We were on the same flight and she was sitting across the aisle from me. She had a green version of the booty velooty thingy and she was clad in a toning avocado velour track suit. I squinted hard to decipher the Moira logo and sure enough there it was. If I'd been able to produce a 'quack quack' gismo she might have responded to the love call of Quacker as well but maybe not enough sequins on show for that. Anyway I did my best not to stare too hard at the Lesser Known Velour Velooty but it was soooo tempting. Perked me up no end.

I always carry a mini brolly in my bag as I have to walk to/from meetings in London. But I also carry a small carrier bag to stick it in if it's wet. But I'd much rather use a proper full size brolly.

I buy mini brollies in bulk as I'm always losing the buggers. Leaving them on the train etc. Perhaps I ought to have them clanking from my handbag!

Hey living in Belfast here, never ever even in the summer leave without a brolly. Trust me we locals know the drill, the BBC weather can say whatever it wants you don't have one it will rain.

How good is the umbrella? You are all saying expensive but you get a brolly free, but what quality is it?
Will it last a few goes, a year?

I carry a Fulton Tiny or Ultraslim myself. I usually pay around £5+(they should be £16 in department stores) on Amazon or ebay and get a good year plus even blowing inside out, you just turn round in the wind they go back. Unbelievability light weight too.
