Hello everyone,

I doubt I'll be giving QVC any more of my business from now on. I had to return an item that was damaged on delivery and when I phoned to arrange a collection, I stated that I wanted a replacement not a refund. I was told that the item was in stock and a replacement would be arranged, but today, I had an email stating that I have been refunded as requested. To make matters worse, even though the item was damaged, I was not refunded the p&p charge.

The item is now out of stock and as it was on clearance, no further stocks will be available. I have never returned an item to QVC and assumed that a replacement item was being sent out to me to replace the damaged one. Obviously this was not the case and I am now left without the item I wanted and having to ring QVC to get my postage charge back. The lady from customer care was helpful enough and arranged my p&p refund, but I am still without the item I ordered. I also cancelled another order that was awaiting stock because I do not want to give any more of my hard earned money to QVC.

I will probably have another rant about this on Youtube because I recorded the unboxing of the item (vacuum cleaner) for my channel and discovered the damaged part.

I have sent a tweet and message on Facebook to QVC, so apart from getting a plane to write it in the sky, I think I have got it off my chest. I know there are people in this world with far worse problems than receiving a damaged vacuum cleaner, but It's the way QVC boasts about their marvellous customer service and how everything is risk free really gets on my wick.

I feel better for that. Well I will have to console myself by ordering another vacuum cleaner from somewhere else. I wonder if Ideal World have one of their never to be repeated Bissell bargains😜

Annoying and tedious but if they are out of stock with no chance of new coming in then that is the end of it, sadly. It would be good in instances like this that they could offer EP on another item as a sweetener. Good you are getting P&P back just a pity it was not dealt with professionally in the first instance.

It's annoying isn't it.Consistency with their policies Is not Q's strong point. They must lose a lot of customers in this way ,it's so frustrating.

Ring them back and ask to speak to someone more senior, We always hear about customers getting a £10 voucher because they havent shopped with Q for a while so the least they can do is offer you some kind of good will gesture for their mistake.

May be worth saying your a member of DF's Back to you group as they always get preferential treatment :mysmilie_59:

I think the main problem seems to be that the CS said there was stock but in reality if it was a clearance item there was never going to be further stock. It is one of those cases where if you had been given the full facts you would probably have accepted it albeit annoyed at the damaged goods.

Many years ago, I bought a SciPix (remember them?) digital camera from QVC. It lasted about a week and then failed. Back then, CS were happy to send a replacement before I had to return the faulty one. They should go back to that system for the sake of it being helpful to customers. If they're worried about losing out, they can do what Amazon do - send you a replacement and give you 28 days to return the faulty one or else they'll charge you again for the replacement. It's a fair system and it means customers are not left without goods and they won't be left out of pocket for long.

Same thing

Late last year I ordered a Christmas present for someone, it was a beauty gift set that came in a 'special' box, it was that particular brands Christmas TSV, so it was all 'trussed up like a turkey', however the way it was presented when it reached my house was not the way it was presented on the TV. The box had collapsed meaning that the items had fallen out and in addition to that as the items had fallen from their individual 'spots' one of the jar broke and the liquid had fallen out, I contacted QVC customer helpline, to explain the situation and stated that I could send pictures of the items, this I did and they said that I could send it back and if there was any more that I could go on waitlist and have it delivered. I agreed to this as even though it would potentially be after Christmas I thought it was worth the wait. The agent stated that I would have to return the items at my own cost but would be reimbursed, my 'radar' was immediately alerted as I have read on many many occasions the refund not actually materialising. The cost of return was around £8 I was recommended to send it recorded delivery, I did as was asked thinking that not only would it get returned quicker, but that they would also know the pricing.
You can probably guess the rest of the story! I didn't receive any of the P&P cost back, the items didn't come back into stock, but then to top it all the refund I did receive was for an easy payment and not for the full amount (I had paid the latter), fast forward 3 months and now everything is sorted, I will think twice in future, about being swayed by 'pretty packaging'!

If QVC was a shop, they'd have closed down years ago, the shop is always empty, five things I've just looked at and they were all on "wait list" Mind you I always shop around, I wanted to buy some SBC Camphor and Menthol the other day, but it was on wait list, QVC £16 and £2.95 p&p so I went over to eBay and bought it for £11.70 free p&p, came today and it's amazing, absolutely love this product.

Oh dear I posted in the reasons not to buy from QVC thread just a couple of weeks ago that SBC were having a buy one get one free offer. You must have missed seeing it shopper. I ordered a camphor gel, got one free and it cost me £14.95 for both, the gel was on an offer price too, usually £19 and free delivery. Next time I get an email alert about their BOGOF I`ll message you and yes it is good stuff, my hubby uses it daily.

For some reason, whenever I have had to reclaim my postage I have had to send the photocopy of the post office receipt to a different address than the returned ítem. The last time I returned an ítem it was a Laura Geller TSV which arrived with the eye shadow broken up. I thought I'll save postage (stamp for the letter to return the receipt) and I stuck the photo copy in the LG box. No refund on postage and when I queried, I was told I had to send to a different address. When I sent the letter, I also included the receipt for the stamp and I was eventually refunded.

My youtube channel is called Ibaisaic and specialises in reviews and demonstrations of vacuum cleaners and other floorcare appliances. I also have a few QVC, Ideal World, and Bid TV clips on it too.

I am watcing one of your reviews now and realised it was your post about appalling QVC customer service, seen a lot of your vids before and they are brilliant. Starstruck now!
