What a complete dog's dinner. Julia used to be a stylish lady, whatever her faults. Now I am more shocked when she looks nice, sadly. Even though the dress is clearly an Empire line, rather than standard waistline, it does nothing whatsoever for her figure.
I feel like Julia has lost her way fashion-wise with advancing age, expansion and chronic ill-health. Being realistic about her figure, and especially her dress size, would perhaps allow her to recover a sense of style...BUT she needs to seriously re-think the footwear of she wants to make the best of herself.

Yes, I think you’re right - I saw them trying to flog those awful boots the other day. The ones I saw were in a “my little pony” pink and they looked ridiculous! If I was gonna spend that sort of money on a pair of boots, I’d a least want them to be wearable. Cowboy boots are in and out of fashion - I’ve got a pair of leather ankle cowboys in traditional brown made by Levi’s - I’ve had them for yonks . I don’t wear them very often.. I couldn’t care less whether or not they’re in fashion- I’m to old for all that Shizzle!
 
Julia's an attractive woman but QVC styles do her shape no favours whatsoever. She needs to pick and choose more carefully although that might not be hers to do at times because there are QVC "styles" - used loosely - that don't look good even on any of the models.
 
Never thought Q fashion could get worse but it has. Bog standard blouses, tops too short and wrinkled trousers, the coats all the same puffer types or thin showerproof. Scrolling on website, don’t know why really, but their models can’t pose for toffee, north east north west pointing feet and body slouched like a sack of potatoes, why they are photographed like that I’ll never know.

Yes ! My hubby had loss of taste for his breakfast one Sunday January 2020... ( it was a McDonald’s treat ) he said “ I can’t taste it “ I gave him a funny look.. and said to take it back to counter ...he replied it didn’t tast off , he Jist couldn’t taste it ... we thought nothing of it abs about 5 days later with his appetite getting less and having back ache .. into beginning of January he was laid flat out and felt like a radiator in bed. Sweating badly ... he’s never had this before ..61 years old and lucky had his heart sorted out 2 years before... left him with a very bad chest infection. Thankfully only a doc app and no hospital. I didn’t get it and his elderly parents had visited us for tea on the Boxing Day just before .. ( 2020) ... I’ve head so many accounts like this

Sorry meant to add his elderly parents thankfully didn’t get it even though in close contact indoors and when he took them home in the car.
 
I lost my taste and smell in the beginning of December 2019 - weeks before we heard about (officially anyway) Covid, and definitely weeks before loss of taste and smell was designated as a symptom. So its my strong belief that Covid was widespread in this country long before we were officially told about it.

Brissels yes I meant to say Boxing Day 2019 he started with the no taste ... I believe this too ..
 
My husband got covid back in January, and thankfully he got it really mildly...He had a bit of an irritating cough, felt a bit more tired than usual and had a few headaches, but he managed the condition pretty well with regular paracetamol. I obviously had to self isolate but didn't go for a test. I felt fine throughout apart from a couple of days where I literally couldn't smell a damned thing...not even vick vapo rub. Husband told me that he's been to work feeling worse in the past...so it just goes to show what a blimming lottery this virus is....it just totally depends upon how your body reacts to it. Hubby has type 2 diabetes and has had heart surgery in the past. He had the jab and again no reaction to it whatsoever. Quite a few people who've had the jab at work have had to take a few days off as they've felt awful afterward..again another lottery. Kinda wish I'd gone for a test so I knew whether or not I'd had it. If I have ..well apart from not being able to smell anything for a couple of days - nothing!
 
As you say, a complete lottery how badly anyone gets it or how badly anyone reacts to the vaccination. Someone I know who's one of the shielded ended up by a hospital mistake on the covid ward with just a curtain between her and the woman hacking away next to her, but didn't get it, nor did she react to the vaccination. Strange. It's all to do with your genetic make-up and they don't know enough about that to say. I got away with the virus if that's what I had relatively lightly but my reaction to the vaccination was a bit scary.
 
Like many I believe it was in circulation long before western governments woke up to what was happening in PRC. My Mr T hadn't seen the inside of the GP surgery since 1999 & that trip was to get rabies shots... In the last three months he's had emergency surgery on both retinas & a procedure for the cataract that resulted from these. Having been in A&E in one hospital & after eight appointments at BMEC, he's surprised that he hasn't caught it. We may be in the minority but we don't know many who have been ill; one neighbour thought she had vertigo but was advised to get a test which came back positive, she didn't have any other symptoms & after six weeks of feeling like she's on a ship she's found out she's got calcium debris in her ear canals. The specialist (private) said this was defo why she'd been so ill & the test is a waste of time & money because it's not specific.

My husband came down with something over Christmas 2019. He was very unwell, and took to his bed, which was very unlike him. He looked dreadful, had really red sunken eyes, but doesn't have a very good sense of smell anyway, and we had to cancel all our get togethers with family and friends. It took around 3 weeks for him to feel more human. Covid? Who knows, but it really knocked him for six.
