No Elemis OTO's

So the Elemis Tsv has sold out , Yet in the 8pm and 10pm shows there will be No One Time Onlys. But in the 11pm show there's a OTO on web-firsts and i assume there will be one in the 9pm show , so why No Elemis OTO'S , surely this morning Qvc knew the Tsv would last all day, so they had plenty of time to "create" one, yet in the past Tsv's haven't sold out but they have decided not to bring them on air the rest of the evening so they could show OTO's.

Its another example of Qvc making the rules up as they go alone...

Thanks Autumn, I have a good mind to contact QVC and find out why there has been no OTOs; I hate the way they just make up rules when it suits.

They seem to be changing the way things usually are, TSV gone then OTOs even for a few shows. Not for the better, more auto deliveries and less easy pay, and now OTOs hit.

Interestingly today's TSV has just sold out and Clare just said, "that means we'll see OTO's in selected hours over the day"

Deliberate use of the word selected! It used to be every hour didn't it.

nope it varies per day if there is ones in every hour or if its ones in selected hours

I think it depends how mush tat they have to shift. Also there are some brands that rarely have an OTO; Bobbi Brown comes to mind.

What a load of B*********s, often with Tsv's they will have the final airing of it early evening even when its not sold out, so they can have OTO's for the rest of the night. Ive never seen them not have OTO's if the TSV has sold out , unless its a new brand to Qvc , but even with the Molton Brows Launch they had an OTO in the evening show.

They probably wanted to make sure the TSV sold out because they knew the lack of EP would make it struggle. I reckon the bought enough for all the regular Elemis customers and a bit extra, people would feel pressure to buy it knowing there would be no OTO's. They then panic buy the TSV for fear of missing out on the only elemis bargain of the day. I reckon the specialist costly skincare TSV's will all be like this. I bet that next years Auto Delivery only TSV will be expensive facial skincare and will also have no OTO's to ensure it sells.

Bet also that the cheaper to produce bath and body TSV will not only be on EP but they will have a skincare OTO to make customers spend more.

I thought Keeley gave some reason for there not being OTOs in the 10.00 show. I didn't hear her properly but think it was because they had put all their efforts into producing such a great TSV which they thought would last the day. That may not be an accurate statement though cos I was doing something else and not paying full attention.

Ooh, just read Weathergirl's post above. That would be a cynical marketing ploy, so I am sure you are right!!! The trouble is this AD was six drops, only 60 days apart I believe. I mean that is one hell of a lot of Elemis to be buying in twelve months.

I know during the 8pm show julia said Elemis would have a OTO at 10pm and Keeley corrected her and said no they wouldn't be, And DF had posted on FB early afternoon there would be Elemis OTO's and then later posted actually there wouldn't be, so its all very odd, they must have known by morning the Tsv was going to sell out.

I've just been speaking to my Mum (because she watched the shows & I didn't) and she said that Keeley said didn't do any OTOs because they are having big celebrations next year with very good offers???

I remember years ago they used to go through the guff of saying that they had to find something for OTO as, guess what, TSV had sold out.

Nowadays we know days in advance that there is going to be a OTO (crystal ball time) which did away with the myth that it was all a "surprise" happening.
And yes I agree that they have always had a OTO once there was no further airing of TSV, sold out or not.

It is much the same as the old bargain hunter which in the old days we thought was a genuine bargain but now know have been languishing in clearance since pussy was a kitten.

The internet, even their crap website, has caused the scales to fall from our eyes.
