I agree with what you say Ellaa! I mean since when has hair on the arms become this big taboo? QVC are going to be giving us all a complex!

I agree with the comments, the NO NO and its presentation both on QVC and elsewhere are dull and boring. I have actually tried this and I'm surprised they are still allowed to market it, I've also watch people demonstrating/talking about this on You Tube, basically like me, saying it's rubbish, I just do not believe all these claims. I bought mine well over a year ago on easy pay, so I sent it right back after giving it a fair try, maybe it works for people somewhere, who knows, but it is at any rate a very very very very over priced item. Someone is making a big buck on this one.

I totally agree too.

Unfortunately a lot of marketing, advertising and sales pitches aim to create a sense of dissatisfaction in their target audience - to be remedied by the wonder product being touted. It's not new, and unlikely to change any time soon.

Removal of pubic hair in particular has only become 'a thing' in very recent years. A fashion brought about, apparently, by the ready availability of online porn, leading men to expect women to be hairless dolls running on Duracell.
Certainly, my generation would never have dreamt of having a Brazillian (or even worse, a 'Hollywood'). A quick whizz round the top of the thighs with a razor was enough for us :cheeky:

Unless you were Mrs James P-A-L who didn't even bother with that. She used to love to plait hers if you remember! Those were the days......

On another thread I said I hadn't got a strong stomach for treating feet, especially belonging to the elderly. Well, I've another stomach churner that I couldn't do (relating to the above post), and that's being a beauty therapist who has to carry out the waxing of the nether regions, be it Hollywood, Bollywood or Brazilian !!!!! Being faced with legs akimbo (sorry Akimbo) just after my breakfast would not set me up for the day !!!! Bravo to all therapists who 'do' this yukky job.

I've got the presentation with a ghostly Ali Young, in full shimmerbrick tin man mode (sorry, Mazza), yet with strangely straw man hair (which is often the case when she's got Philip Kingsley on, I've noticed), 2 guests and Charlie Brookes - it's a crowded studio! Actually the one competition for Ali's face is the dress the tall American guest is wearihng!!

No sign of Amy - perhaps she's finally cracked under the boredom of the limited sales spiel for this type of product.

They've just had up the usual blah blah customer survey results.

What they didn't say is:
100% [of forumites] agree that hair is a natural thing which doesn't need to be obliterated
100% [of forumites] disagree with giving people unnecessary complexes about facial and body hair
100% [of forumites] say NO NO to No!No!

I find the NoNo presentations comical!

I was a bit sad to miss Amy! I enjoyed her on the documentary about her happy days musical and thought it a shame she had to flog NOOOOOO NO! in between... But I think I heard the tall American woman (just before I turned off) say she used to do the brand but had been off having her two year old twins so maybe Amy was just maternity cover?

I have been tempted by the NoNo a couple of times as struggle with ingrown hairs badly on legs from my epilator and refuse to shave them.. But one look at the reviews and it's s NoNo from me ;)
Also Will takes an hour to do a 2inch strip of hair on his leg (not that my legs are that hairy haha!)!
