QVC+1 HD Freeview

Retuned my TV today and noticed there is a QVC+1 in HD that has appeared on channel 111.

It does look much better in HD I must say (but then doesn't everything? Once you get used to HD then standard definition channels just look a bit naff, amazing how times have changed...) Strange how they're only doing it as +1 in HD though, and not the live channel. I wonder if it costs more to "use" a channel in live HD rather than pre recorded HD?

Either way, pretty useful for those who have Freeview HD

Oh the beauty channel is also now available in HD too on Freeview channel 112
It is still available in standard definition on channel 35 (along with the other 3 QVC channels if you have a smart TV.)

These have been up for a few months now. I agree it is odd it is +1 in HD whereas the normal one stays on 16. They must be "reserving" the slot I imagine. They only do half a day on each of the HD channels (or as of yesterday that was the case!).

HD doesn't actually make the picture any better,all it does is make it a tiny bit clearer, that's it
