'Mrs. No Clue' more like - I suppose an above the knee cut is OK in these modern times for what is essentially a tea dress.....but paired with overly long black leather (or faux, even worse! lol) gloves......??? Oh dear, oh dear, oh bl**dy dear.......! What is the world coming to, eh?

I had a quick blimp at the TSV at lunchtime and the orangie one was on. The guest said that it had that look of paisley wallpaper???????

It that supposed to be a selling point, if I want wallpaper Ill go to B&Q :taphead:

I don't even watch the "fashion" for a laugh these days as one range of polyester tat is now indistinguishable from another. the only "hot" thing about is the way it may make someone sweat when they wear it.

I think the 'fashion' has a lot to do with the cringe factor of Qvc. The Matronly middle aged poly clad American look isn't particularly aspirational and if ever my kids catch me watching it and it happens to be one of the fashionista hours they know they're in for a good laugh.

gawd hasn't that woman got a gob on her! she's like kim on acid and hands down wins the prize for pushiest, most hard sell guest. watched the tsv hour and she managed to get the words 'today's special value' about 7 times in one sentence - when they were't even on it! i'd love to know how many times she said it in the hour. she would not stop gobbing about the tsv for the entire hour and even as experienced a presenter as debbie was struggling to keep her on track, having to say things like 'we have to talk about the item number they're showing on screen' and in desperation 'we'll be BACK to it in 4 minutes'. good grief, qvc - cringeworthy tv in the extreme. put a cork in it woman!

apart from that i agree about the polyester tat. i know i've said it a million times but qvc fashion didn't used to be like this. i still like and wear stuff (non stretch, non polyester) that i've had for years.

The buyers need to have a look in a shop such as Zara in the dreaded high street to get some ideas of what kind of clothing women are wearing in 2012, but I can't see proper fashion selling on Q. They're catering for their viewers and it obviously sells so they've no reason to change it have they? Many of us on here wouldn't be seen dead in the clothes but we must be in the minority.

I cannot for life of me remember who said it, nor can I find the thread, but someone here said that the stretchy one size fits a fair old few works well for QVC as it will keep returns down. And that does make sense. Stretch usually equals man made fibres too.

It's certainly not trendy fashion. I'll give you that with knobs on.

That was me, Tink. while they're still making money they still keep selling. There are customers who clearly like what they see and buy it so they won't change the formula.

Yes exactly how can they sell garments with zips, fitted waistbands, darts etc in non stretch and not get half of it back, especially with their all over the place sizing. Having said that Next manage it. As to Susan Graver she practically cheered and punched the air when it was announced that the offending article had been a sell out. Oddly the first fasion TSV in a while to completely sell out I think.

colour-blocking

DebbieFlint was wearing a white/red/black striped top. SG said it wasn't stripes, it was colour-blocking. Funny, looked like stripes to me. Polka-dots/spots are 'colour-blocking' too, I suppose? Are striped awnings and deckchairs colour-blocked? I think whatever clothing/jewellery etc. can be mass-produced the cheapest, 'overseas', is what Q wants to sell. They specialise in 'false' diamonds, 'false' cashmere, 'false' flaaars.

Oooh! This talk of stretchy, one size etc has just reminded me of that new really expensive range that was launched by JF - it was one size fits all. Can't remember the name, they had loads of sell outs. I wonder what the reviews are like

She'll be punching the air and skipping all the way to the bank. I would if I were her. It's easy money.

Thanks Kitten. Yes, its hard to tell from those reviews. Very pricey though.

Also, even with the very few reviews, skimming through reviews people have left for other items, it would appear that the range is a 'one size fits all' if you're something along the lines of an 18-20 plus size? And you'd have to be tall to get away with that Grecian dress whatsit, well most of the range actually I reckon?

Ah ha! It was you )

I do think it's a very valid point.

I know that Next does it but they have stores on prettying every high street which means you can try things on if you wish. I also think high street stores are far more consistent on sizing. Whilst I might need an 18 in Monsoon say I know I need a 20 in Next or Wallis. QVC ... well I'm anywhere from a large to no fecking chance of getting my boobs in that no way no how.

I do buy clothes from QVC but only a bit from here and a bit from this range and a piece from that. Some QVC fashion works brilliantly for me, some I wouldn't give house room.

On the promo she says that she used to be in all the big stores but is now exclusive to Qvc, is that because the stores don't want her tat anymore ?
' you don't have to spend a forchun to look like a forchun ' I know it is her accent but it annoys me.

Isnt she meant to have her own weekly show on QVC USA, im a guy, but surely they must get better quailty clothes over there, as i cant see New Yorkers, wearing such tat, or maybe she and other fashion designers, just make tat for the UK market
