Social Media - That was an eyeopener

Help Support ShoppingTelly:

I've had a quick look on FB but not found all this hilarity, I must search harder because I love it !:mysmilie_15:

A lot of it gets deleted by the QVC moderator spoilsports so you can blink and miss the entertainment sometimes!

Some woman has not got the memo about Diane Giliman going and asking about the next TSV.

Another wants to know what shade the Light is in the Tarte Rainforest of The Sea foundation and brush. Is it light neutral?

Yesterday a load of posts deleted as they told where to buy vitamins at a fraction of the TSV price.

Not forgetting the now daily posts asking about the Dyson Hairdryer
I reckon that when this was first mentioned on arsebook it was by an 'insider' to get the bin lids interested. Every now and again it gets mentioned again to keep it in the minds of the bin lids so that when it finally goes on sale they will be desperated to get their hands on it.
Who I may asks in their right mind will pay £250 for a hair dryer. Oh yes, of course the arsebook groupies, and what's to bet that the first time on air it will be with DF the groupies queen.

The Dyson Hairdryer made a comeback today. They keep telling them March.

A reply to the Diane Giliman query had Rebecca say no TSV but another show on the 12th. Someone said but you told us the other day no more from the brand and how can you have a show as hardly any stock?:mysmilie_17:

The Groupies never disappoint! Are they still called The Queens? Saw something last year and immediately thought of a Drag Show!!! :mysmilie_866::mysmilie_866::mysmilie_61::mysmilie_61:

At the end of the day, when you step back and look at it all objectively, it's all rather ridiculous, isn't it?

Silly little squabbles, schoolground cliques, petty spite.

They should wake up and realise there is more to life...

Don't think they have a life, that is the problem!

They become obsessed with everything! :mysmilie_13:

God it sounds just like my workplace when you put it like that!

There is quite a good post regarding easy pays due on an Amex card - the poster is taking no prisoners and has told them to p off if they wouldn't take the card. Usual kissy kissy reply asking him to call them but he just told them to shove it where the sun don't shine.

Woven on Facebook one customer is asking if Jill gets paid by the word as, rather that talk about the product is just making inane comment. another is asking if Q have looked out of the window. They should be offering warm winter clothing and not viscose. Seem to be getting a bit of stick lately. Groupies must all be asleep.

I think the guy is right to make to a stand Q were happy enough to take his card when he paid and they should either honour that or write it off. Why should he spend his time contacting them..

The AMEX guy, said they left a message saying they could not take payment as the card had expired. No it wasn't! Good for him taking a stand let them chase him.

The usual where did JF get her top. Not QVC it seems, but they swore Claire also wore it. Shock horror QVC presenters don't buy their clothes there. :mysmilie_19:

The was JF was sitting in the video looked uncomfortable, could it be she was leaning on the bulldog clip? :mysmilie_14:

This Thread just confirms and highlights why Fakebook is well named! These Posters would do my head in. Have they not got better things to do with their time? Don't get me started on the Groupies, maybe they are all after the Freebies??? LMAO!!! :mysmilie_5:

Well to be fair to Q (OMG what is happening to me???) I think there are quite a few retailers who do not accept Amex cards because of its charges. Years ago this was an occasional problem on business trips when we all had corporate Amex cards and had to put some stuff on our personal credit cards. Of course, that does not for one moment mean that they handled this chap's case correctly!

Think the problem is QVC have suddenly stopped taking them, and not bothered to inform people.

I thought the deal was they wouldn't accept any new orders using an Amex card, but would honour Easy Pays on orders placed before the Amex ban...obviously not!

Oh Amexgate - my specialist subject!! http://forum.shoppingtelly.com/showthread.php?53339-Credit-cards-Amex-(excuse-rant)&highlight=Amex

To recap, it was only when I rang QVC with my replacement Amex card number that they said they were no longer taking Amex. I wrote to the CEO and someone from CS rang me to explain all that cr4p about it being the fault of their new systems because they can no longer accept details of new Amex cards due to only having 15 instead of the usual 16 credit card digits in the long number. The implication was that you could continue to use your Amex if you'd already given them the details (because the details are already IN the system) but any new cards could not be taken by Q. As a favour (he said), they would take my outstanding Easy Pays and Auto Deliveries from my new Amex card manually, but if I wanted to buy anything in future, I would have to use another type of card. Well, the first three or four payments went through by this magical manual system and then, a week or two ago, they started ringing me to say my payments weren't going through. I had to explain all the palaver I'd already been through and what I'd been told (by them!!!) and they clearly didn't get it. They are so stupid, two different CS people asked me to go online, access my account and add my new Amex card details. I told them that it wouldn't work because computer says no now. Long story short, I ended up giving them a Visa card I use for business so shouldn't really have used for the last two small EPs. I really wish I had taken the stance of the guy on Facebook now and told them tough.

I have spent an absolute fortune on QVC the past few years. I worked out my spend for the year up to when my Amex stopped being taken and I am too embarrassed to admit it on here. That's all stopped now. I've been writing down what I would have bought if it hadn't happened (a few TSVs and other decent offers) and in less than 3 months, added to the ADs I cancelled, it's well over £600! So nice saving for me, bit of a loss for QVC!

If I were a Facebooker, I would be sympathising with the poster who is complaining.
