Michelle Obama & Glen's Style File

I saw him last night showing some ghastly item and he said that colour analyisis is a waste of time, if you get some different make up you will be able to wear colours that you thought didn't suit you! WTF!

He really is clueless isn't he? I just don't understand how they keep churning him out as a 'fashion expert' I genuinely don't. I would have been sacked a long time ago if I was as clueless as him when it came to doing my job!

Clueless and getting paid for it. How do you get a job like his, I wonder? I'm sure I could talk with authority on things I know nothing about, given the chance :) And what on earth does he mean by saying Michelle Obama is "rocking the cardi" ? :6:

Michelle Obama is a very stylish lady - and I have to say that those items Glen selected to echo her style look nothing like anything she has ever worn in public!
Any cardigan and skirt combi will just not do. The Honora pearls - ok I'm with him on that!

I suspect it's not so much that he's clueless, just struggling to sell QVC rags as high fashion. More lying than clueless as seems to be the case with most presenters on all TV channels nowadays. Presenting seems to be following the style of the street market these days, and presenters will just do as they're told <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D3%252F3%255F7%255F9v%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_7_9v.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D3%252F3_7_9v%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

I think that for me was the best bit - 'rock the cardi'!!!! I'm going to try it with mine while I get ready to go out.....

Nicky-j is totally right - a Susan Graver skirt is nothing like any item I've ever seen Michelle O in and we're probably unlikely to. He just says the most bizarre things and picks the weirdest of clothes as examples of what is on trend.

Whoops, think I went wrong somewhere. I was trying to say I have one decent item of QVC clothing - a Leather Elements stretch suede jacket, which even the dry cleaner said was good quality. I think Leather Elements are Centigrade now.

I find he talks out of his Ar**!
Was he not on the Clothes show or something in the 80s and don't QVC say he had his own shops?
Obviously they have gone to the wall - possibly due to his lack of style sense?
I guess QVC use him because he is cheap and available.
Stella Mcartney and the like would never work for such a company!

Seems like if you talk the talk you get the job.

Seems like a nice guy but when it comes to fashion he is clueless IMHO

Altogether now, "rock the cardi", "little white T", "dress it up, dress it down"
:59:

Perhaps I'm being unfair - I'd like to see what advice he could offer if he had real clothes to deal with. Didn't he have a spot on This Morning or GMTV many moons ago?

True but as argeybargey said, look at what he has to work with!
Anyway, how do you lot know what is actually 'on trend' & 'fashion forward' in the surreal world of the frumpy over 50s, eh? :3:

very true - re what he has to work with.

well I am not in the over 50's bracket, but I know about fashion and when I saw him at a customer review I said to my hubby he cant tell me anything about fashion! Sharon the model said I had my own style and it was very trendy. glad she did not say "on Trend" lol lol.

I presume the clothes that he wears out of work is his own style so in that case he has no style - the clothes are bogus!
