drunken ordering

Totally pissed I ordered a double blush Kelly hoppen bedspread.......for a single bed. Still in its wrapper in the wardrobe. Looked too nice and too huge to send back. Makes me smile though:mysmilie_47::mysmilie_13:

Oh YES! I have been in rash ordering mode after a glass of wine (or 2--) then I have wasted cash on the P&P & return which could have bought more bottles of wine.

My danger period was Saturday night usually beauty, if I have few glasses of wine. I had of course pre decided I was not buying, but in the rosy glow of an nice bottle it looked fabulous and I must be mad not to buy it. Hence I avoid QVC TSV launch at midnight into Sunday now.

It's 1.20pm and it's Sunday. Just opened a can of ice cold lager. Thanks to all your warnings, I will not switch on the telly or visit QVCUK web page.

Hmmm, a parcel once arrived and it was some kind of DIY drill thing. Why would I order that? I can barely use a vacuum cleaner never mind a drill. A wig - went back. I have enough real hair. Untold beauty items, some of which are still unopened 3 years later. It's a good job the gardening programmes aren't on at night or there would probably be a 3 seater hammock outside my very small terraced house lol. Note to self. Do not drink and Qcut.

Oops. Have just received an email saying get ready your orders on its way. What order? Opened it and its the Liz Earle super size body wash and hand cream. No notion of ordering this at all!!!!!!worrying:mysmilie_1:

What a lovely light-hearted thread!

I usually can't blame a glass or two of alcofrol for my impulse purchases, but there have definitely been a few where I've thought - what the heck was I thinking???

My largest number of returns was caused by a reckless dive into clearance and last clicks - very expensive as it almost all went back.

Ah yes, it's all coming back to me now. Two pairs of size XS (WTF - was I having a flash back to 1987?) Antthony trousers in clearance, still hanging there unworn (unsurprisingly) with the tags on. The piece de resistance was a fluffing expensive ring that cleaned out my credit card and cost me £10 to send it back very special escorted delivery. Red wine distorts your sanity it would seem as I don't even wear rings :mysmilie_17:

Why not use it as a throw for your sofa?

Its blush pink and satin! Don't think it would suit. The cat sits on the sofa so have an easy clean throw that I can de fur. I bought Kelly hoppen bedding in taupe and some bedding from another bod and I don't want to cover them up with a spread as they look nice. Waste of dish.:mysmilie_47:

Now if QVC really cared as much as they say they do, they'd issue each and every one who's posted on this thread a reusable breathalyser to stop all these impulse purchases.
Though they'd probably charge £5.95 p&p each time then you'd have the hassle of returning it.

Surely this is the reason QVC keep their TSV launch at midnight; to catch the "tired and emotional" viewers at their most vulnerable! :mysmilie_3:
