Crikey, it weighs almost the equivalent of 5 bags of sugar. I wouldn’t be able to lift it empty let alone with food in it.

I bought a cast ALUMINIUM casserole dish as a gift for a friend for Christmas. Ordered from Argos. Will ask how it performs.
I'm interested to know what temperature the lid can be used at compared to the pan itself... I suspect it will be a lower temperature, but happy to be proved wrong.

The Le Creuset one is 7L which is fine for a family but too big for 1 or 2 people. I think the smaller ones cook better as the food is not so spread out. However, saying that the cream Le Creuset would have looked nice in my revamped kitchen.
