I love Kanban, too. However, I am glad to see that on tonight's monochrome craft show, Dawn was promoting another new company who had put together a specialist cardstock pack. Whilst the Kanban kits are excellent quality, they are not the only good company out there and they have started to monopolise the card kits of late. Really really pleased to see some new stuff coming on board to complement what QVC already have.

I agree with you Craftybel and I liked the cardstock pack from the other company(who's name escapes me). I'm still not keen on the "painting by numbers" kind of card kits when people claim they are hand made, whereas I would argue that they are 'hand-assembled' but what is great is the availability of lovely craft items these days.
40 years ago, I used to sell my crafts on a market stall - hand-made scented candles, string pictures, knitted and crocheted goods, home-made bread. I used to make cards then, but the card had to come from specialist art shops and was cut using a ruler and set square. I was forever adapting packaging, wrapping paper, even hair slides to make cards and all the floral decorations had to be pressed and dyed by hand !

on the subject of Nige, he's a proper prat, kept getting the hard sell via e-mails, to which he always signed off with 'love you', I binned him in the end, didn't want hubby thinking I had another fella!

I know what you mean. A proper member of a forum to me is someone who contributes to the forum as a whole, and not just to reep the benefit or as a platform to advertise oneself, unless you are a paying sponsor of course.

I do pop on, but it may be a while before I feel part of it I'm afraid, once bitten twice shy.

Choppy I know he now frequents another Forum and you are a part of CT.com and we think you are a valued member, we love to see you there!
