I just realised that I have designated functions for my kipling bags. Mine get constant use, in rotation. Mine are:

Work bag- Abelia in silver grey. I gave in and got the recent TSV in cafee latte, and find it a smart style similar to the Abelia nice for summer. Both are smart enough for work and fit loads in. Before I got my Abelia I tended to use a leather bag for work.

Weekend or days off bag-without question my Reth. Mine is "gentle grey". Been washed several times now and still looks great.

Holiday bag-again without question my Defea. Mine is "Heather Olive" but I also have a leather one in French Navy. I also use a small cross body in lipstick red.

I always use a kipling large purse too, I have a couple of different ones.

Do you find yourselves using the same styles and colours over and over again forr specific roles and ignore your others?

i am a mad random cant get ehough kipling bags, so i am not as ordely as you are. but my current faves are

chilly for everyday in black

delana for winter in black as i carry more stuff in winter

just bought the tote combo in black tropical flower. saw it in the kiplng shop for an eyewatering £65 bought on amazon £41.00. this is for holidays a flight bag and when i am out shopping and want something smart to carry stuff in.

just bought the creativity small purse in purple laquer. and i need something in the honeydew.

Nice post  I'm not a Kipling-a-holic and I shy away from the stereotypical Kiplings, but I do have a few bags that have their uses.

Work bag - Super City Working Bag in dazzling grey. A very recent purchase (thanks for the advice, Scout!) and it truly is the most perfect bag, large, sturdy and organised to carry everything I need for my 2 different jobs. No need to carry 2 or 3 different bags around. I've had it for a few days and everyone has commented on how professional it looks.

Weekends/quick potter around town - Enora in port red. I like this bag as it looks smarter than most Kipling, it's not too big or too small, just the right size to carry the essentials.

Day tips - Fairfax L in gentle grey. Not my favourite looking bag, but it's a tardis and is super useful for carrying bits and bobs for day trips, train journeys etc.

Nights out - Delphin in copper dust. Truly beautiful bag that gets comments every time I go out, everyone is surprised when I say it's Kipling. I like it for nights out because it has the security I want from the brand for my keys, ID etc. So many high street bags have rubbish pockets, crap zips or even no zips.

I also have a brownie purse in caffe latte which I've used every day since I bought it and it still doesn't look a day old.

I've got several Kipling bags and I definitely bought them for specific purposes like the Art tote bag for holidays, a Candy bag for day trips etc. Definitely the best bags I have had as they are so hard-wearing, had some for years and they still look brand new. My backpack takes 2.5 stone worth of equipment to work everyday and no sign of fraying or zips breaking despite being 10 years old; it was a good investment and I got it in a sale :mysmilie_14:

I only have two but don't know their names, do they have them on them somewhere? But I use one for big shopping trips as it's like the tardis I can't believe what I can fit in it, nor can others it's quite fun seeing their faces either seeing me fit it all in or when I take the stuff out they thing it's a trick or a bottomless bag, the other I use if I know I'm going out to get something I shouldn't but it looks like an everyday bag but again is like a tardis and it's incredible what I can shove in it and OH doesn't have a clue what I can get away with unless he reads this but I'm ok he won't :) great tough bags for everyday use and you don't have to be gentle with them, mine get thrown around stuff piled on top of and they never get any sign of wear or tear!

Despite having a multitude of Kipling bags, they get rarely used as I tend only to use them for holidays as IMO most of them are too casual looking for work. The ones I have used for work are Nagato and Enora, Becky for overnight work trip/hand luggage on plane, medium Art weekend away, Scipio for travelling thrown inside either Bagsational or Combo shopper which doubles up as beach bag

i have just over 60 in total (some leather, some suede and mostly their typical ones) and use them all regularly. i like to change my bags regularly as it bores me sticking to the same one for too long.

I get round to using most of mine as I swop them round every 7-10 days, or sooner if I'm wearing something that clashes with the current bag! I've actually had a sort out this morning and have about half a dozen I think I'm going to get rid of, leaving me with about a dozen now - plenty of room to stock up with a few new ones..:mysmilie_14:

I'm kipling mad and like to change my bag regularly as I get bought. That said,I've settled into a routine where my work bags are the bigger bags and I like my cross body bags for weekends.
I change all the time for favourites.for a long time I used my large rose for work and then for a long time my amberly and ginowen.Having recently re-visited my amberly and ginowen,i decided I was bored with them and sold them.I'd never sell my rose however as its such a useful bag.My work bag for the last few months were the adomma followed by the bagsational.I've been desperately wanting a new work bag for ages and waited on the recent TSV,but when it cae I hated it.so I've now broken all the rules about my cross bodys for weekends and have just moved in the lyneth for work and loving it.

At weekends,I like my breezer and alvar.I also have an ebb from the vintage range which I use loads.

Evening out I like my creativity with the shoulder strap.I have a black snake one which has been to many a "do"!

City April Brown: my everyday work bag.

City April Blue: Now and then when matching with shoes.

Diva Donna two bags one navy and brown the other purple and turq: when matching certain clothes and shoes.

i do sell a lot. but this is an excuse to buy more. one thing that i have noticed is i dont like velcro on my bags. my delana has a large pocket with velcro undoing. this will be sold at some point. but replaced. kipling are always bringing in new colours and styles. i love that

No Kipling, yet!
Work bag Warehouse large tote I constantly get comments about, bought in the sale.
Nip to shops, Kirsty Allsop printed oilcloth, love it.
Socialising, purple Tig.

Great posts ....I love my Gabby ...just got back from Tenerife and I don't know what I would have done without it!! I love the defea too but the gabby isn't so heavy for me from the off start....saw loads of kipling and at the airport sold and used ;0) ....I'm going to take another on hols next hear if we manage to get there again ....not from qvc though and I'm not tempted by the TSV if the reviews are anything to go by....got mine from Get me That Bag and defea fro amazon ;0):mysmilie_8:

amazon is the best way to get free postage, fast delivery and good discounts on the current styles and colours. something that qvc rarely manage to do. even the kipling website you have to double check the prices

I love the Enora and Orellie bags, and particularly like the black snake print as I think it looks smarter than some others also like the bird print for some reason. I get a lot of use out of some of the cross body styles such as the Machida, and Deedra when on city breaks or my hols, so great as they are so light and keep all your items nice and safe. I agree Amazon is the way to go for some bargains and free postage, and whilst I know Q do sometimes have the new colours in, a lot of what they sell do seem to be colours I feel they are trying to get rid of. I don't consider myself a kipling-aholic but it is amazing how quickly your collection can grow sometimes :mysmilie_14:

I just bought the Louiza Caffe Latte N and I love it. Not too big and no Velcro so for me it's and ideal summer bag and holds everything I need including a small folding umbrella. I have several other kipling bags including oldies like the Mendingo S very small bag and the Brava in Orchid a much larger bag I rarely use these days I also have the Alvar in Black Snake I think it's called and a grey cross body I can't recall the name of but it's been well used. I sold a few last year as I didn't use them much.

Loveinamist ...Kipling will get you in the end and then there will be no escape! They breed, and eventually the other non-kiplings are forgotten about...never to be seen again.

the black snake is lovely. but i lie and call it a lace print. i have the puppy washbag for my travels. it looks far too good for a washbag in that print.

I like all my Kiplings for different reasons but am still attached to the first one I bought which was the Morrisey, no longer in the range. For it's size it held so much, was longer rather than deep, so a good long zip & easily carried over the shoulder.Just as well the 3 I have are still going strong.
