People on telly have a massive position of power. There are well known tv villans, like the guy on Eastenders who beat up little mo, who actively get abused in the street from people who think their characters are real, Letitia Dean I believe it was, said people call her Sharon in the street and offer 'her' advice about tha latest plot line. Mike and Peter need to look at the profile they are presenting to the world and consider if it is really acceptable, joke or not. remember Clarkson who said, in complete jest that 'they should be taken out and shot in front of their family' got a hammering in the media the next day from just about everyone, yet it was clearly clearly a joke, I have seen it.
