Oh my Gawd! I lived in ski pants years ago and never wore any drawers with them! I'd get carted away if I tried that these days!

Please don't tell us you did any bending or similar behaviour Daz, for 'em to be remembering years later there must have been more than tight "goin' awn".

Oh No AB no way bending lol. no they were not that tight, lol. They were just fitted.

Hubby just shouted that he can remember me from years ago wearing them too and said I had a nice bottom so he dont blame the blokes remembering!!!!!!!! Blimey!!! (makes a change he is not at work tonight!!!!)

Oh this is bringing back traumatic memories of a navy pair I had when I was 16 - see I had an excuse - I wore them with a giant teddy bear sweater dress and red suede ankle boots - oh they looked so fab! Looked such a treat with my back-combed fringe and hair half tied up in lace! Am I glad I don't feel the need to revisit that particular fashion moment!

Doesn't sound much different to some of the fashions around today (minus the teddy bears maybe) - tight bum-hugging leggings, long tunic dresses, ugg boots, even the hairstyle has come back on some people. Silly question -are ski pants the same as stirrup pants?

They are, pretty much, although I seem to remember the ski pants of the 80s tapered into the elastic bit you put under your foot, whereas I think stirrup pants had elastic attached to the bottom of the straight hem of the trousers.
And you can blame Princess Diana for the teddy bears - we were all a bit into our teddies and sheep and so on on our sweaters - although I doubt she'd have teamed that lot together!

Yes but with ski pants you had a variety of different materials to choose from. My ski pants were cordroy.
