Whoop dee doo my first visit to the hairdressers in nearly 18 weeks šŸ„° šŸ‘©ā€šŸ¦³āœ‚ā¤ Bye bye Lucius Malfoy, hello bob. Apart from a short wait outside, the obligatory hand san & a plastic cover up it was the same as usual & the girls were as lovely as ever.

Tangent alert !

Talking of cats, itā€™s nearly a year since I lost my Eric, my dear friend of 21+ years (see my profile pic).

ive decided that the time is approaching when I want another cat. The rescue centre hasnā€™t re-opened for fostering or adopting cats yet but itā€™s only a matter of weeks now.
I know someone who adopted a cat from a cat rescue place. She just couldnā€™t get on with him (the cat). He was returned after a few weeks and the next cat was just fine and they are still happy two years later

Hi chaps. I think my stress levels today have knocked years off my life. Saw consultant (a ****) who said the wound wasn't healing very well, if it didn't improve and needed further surgery including a graft that would be a major, complicated operation and the worst case scenario was amputation. So I went to get transport back to be told it wasn't booked. And to calm down because why was I getting so upset? Got back and had a complete hysterical breakdown on the ward!!!! The OT doing my discharge called a specialist dressing nurse over. A woman I had never spoken to. She called the Wound and Tissue specialist. Who? Never seen him before. They have changed the type of dressings so here's hoping. He also removed loads of stitches which had not dissolved and I think we're making the area very sore because it does feel easier now. I am under the District Nurses from next week. They can be no worse than this hell hole. Pissed off of Putney signing out.

Well, he sounds a barrel of laughs. Iā€™ll go one further: with that bedside manner, he should be struck off. ā€œConsultantā€œ, you say? I think thereā€™s an O, N, S, L, T and A too many in his job title. And if you have the misfortune to see him again, you can tell him that from me!

Pissed Off of Putney, all on the ShoppingTelly forum are on your side and sending you lots of love and strength.

Consultants are **** sometimes. I had one and he talked to me like I was a complete imbecile (bit like how Simon Biagi addresses the nation). I hated him and asked for a second opinion. I moaned so much I got a much nicer man who actually took me seriously so it is worth making a fuss.

Get well soon and don't let them push you around although I know it's hard when you're ill.

Wow Mazza, how awful. What a pig of a day. I hope things improve and that the district nurses can help. It's sometimes hard to stand up for yourself when you are not well, and you should not have to, but if you do think of us all rooting for you and take no nonsense.

That's absolutely appalling & that excuse for a human being needs reporting, a referral to PALS & complaint to the BMA.

Totally gorgeous.

Really do you still! need go ;) šŸ˜‚

Yes, I went today.

It has many surgery rooms, but at the moment every room has to be cleaned after each patient, then LEFT FOR AN HOUR before it can be used again.

At the moment, there are more rooms than dentists so it is not so much of a problem as it would normally be, but I had to wait for 50 minutes later then my appointment time.

I had to wait outside in the drizzle until it was my appt time (I was there 10 minutes early) then they let me in for the 50 minute wait.

They wouldn't let me use the loo, and by then it was almost 2 hours since leaving home, and it could take an hour to get back after the treatment, on the unreliable buses.

Anyway, the dentist said I could use it, took me there and opened the door, only to find that it was stacked up to the roof with all the chairs they'd removed from the waiting room! So she took me to the staff loo instead.

Just letting my lovely friends know that MEXIT HAS HAPPENED. However I am too tired to write anything else really! I hope the district nurses turn up. I have been assured an instruction or whatever has gone in but who knows.... Panic!!!!!! No, too tired.

PS as I was leaving the lady in the next bed gave me her daughter's number and asked me to call her to let her know how unhappy she is! So I did that but had to be careful not to vent too much and cause distress in the daughter.
