I was in Shropshire last week and went to Shrewsbury one afternoon - such a gorgeous town, really lovely place. As I was there, I thought it would be rude not to seek out the QVC shop out of curiosity. Couldn't believe one of the first items I saw. Who remembers this old friend from Clearance about 18 months ago? It was being sold for 99p... Just had to whip out the mobile and treasure the moment for us all.

Errm, thanks for that, Houserabbit, but what is it? (clearly missed it when it was in clearance...) Is it a top or a skirt? Either way, definitely 'tres chic'...:tongue2:

Oh, it's a beauty isn't it? Michele Hope's finest hour. I can't remember who it was that spotted it in Clearance but I do remember a thread about it and the particularly fetching picture that was on the website where it was modelled with a pair of corned beef calves and some fetching chunky white sandals...

I resisted the urge and left empty-handed. Have to say I was appalled at the shop - it was like the worst kind of bargain-basement car boot sale, goods thrown all over the place, grubby stuff, clearly it's all customer returns but they make no effort to display it well. It really put me off QVC, actually, I think they do the channel a disservice, especially as the shop is directly opposite TK Maxx which is clean, well laid out and well lit and selling similar things. There was a large shelf of Paul McKenna DVDs at the back, unopened and unloved. Poor lamb.

Heavens to Betsy ! What is that?
I caught the tail-end of one of her shows the other day whilst waiting for something else, and she said something like
" and to think I started on QVC with 2 poly-cotton turtleneck jumpers "
If only it had stayed that way........I have dusters with more class than that skirt!:tongue2::tongue2:

This is almost exactly what I've said many times! Nowadays, I always pass the shop without a glance. Can't understand why people make special trips from afar to visit, and why many others bemoan the fact that they live so far away. Honestly, it's not worth it!!

i fear i may just have found something to surpass the delights of The Shrewsbury Find :emo: ;

are you ready???
