Thanks Sazza! Can't wait for pictures to come up but I suspect that won't be until the day! Have got a friend called Ballantyne so looking forward to that one!

Have just phoned CS to ask about a couple. The prices are introductory prices and still a little bit higher than the RRP prices which Corfe Bears sell at and do free p&p too with much better service and faster delivery when in stock. You also get 5% discount with Corfe Bears on second order onwards. I know there's quidco but it's not instant. I have to say, I think they are cashing in on the fact that they get them first. Their quantities of orders should make them do bears for cheaper!

I got a booklet from Charlie Bears today with many of the new bears in it and they give the RRP's for them, many of QVC's prices are more than the RRP!!

Yes, I recieved the booklet too & noticed that.
What a rip off! Especially when many of the stockists give free p&p & brilliant service.
I ordered from Magpie for Christmas & they were wonderful.

Just spotted pictures now for those listed by Sazza - they all look gorgeous!! I clicked on 'Web Firsts' and they are scattered in that section so happy browsing........

Thanks Sazza and SCW for new items, but buyer beware!

Corfe Bears and other stockists do free p&p and Corfe do an instant 5% discount for your second and subsequent purchases. Once again QVC are over inflating their prices with CBs and cashing in on getting CBs first. It really annoys me that they'll be making out like they always do that the prices are really good. They used to do some good prices on CBs but since Autumn's collection they are pretty much all more expensive than the RRP before the postage is even added!
Here's a couple of examples for you:

William IV - RRP £59.99 - QVC charging £58.56 on introductory price - making out you are getting a bargain as QVC price is £64.50 (but that's £4.51 above the RRP) and they are charging £7.45 (!!!) postage! Added up it's still about £6 more than ordering from Corfe or another stockist with free delivery. This is one of the cheaper ones though, look how ridiculous these are:

Trevor's RRP is £44.99, QVC charging £47.50 plus £5.45 postage. That's £52.95 - £7.94 more expensive!

Puddifoot is £59.99 RRP and they've got him for £63 and £4.45 postage that's £7.46 extra.

There are many many more similar examples!

I SAY SUPPORT THE PROPER TEDDY BEAR SHOPS - YOU KNOW, THE ONES LIKE CHARLIE HERSELF USED TO OWN! I've got my preorders in with Corfe Bears (with my 5% discount and free delivery!) and know that when they are in stock I'll receive them for free delivery generally the day after they receive them, now that's good service! The only ones I'll now order from QVC are the exclusives.

Just want to add there are numerous bear shops, online and on the high street! if you go to the charlie bear official website you can find local stockists. Don't want to overflood corfe!!!

Fair enough, but in my experience they are second to none and the only one to my knowledge that give the 5% off after your first bear. I'm sure they would not mind being 'overflood'ed!

Many people will buy from QVC though as they get many of the bears long before others places. For example, most of the bears that were new on QVC during the February shows are still on pre-order and we are now two months on, so many just won't want to wait an indefinate amount of time.

Totally agree Sazza. However I'm not prepared to have QVC take the pi$$ with their prices. I also think it's unfair of CBs to allow them to do this. QVC bang on about their buying power and V stands for value, but where is the value? Even if I do have to wait I'd rather pay RRP than overinflated prices with QVC I also know I'm supporting a family business just like Charlie used to run herself!
