Wow! Must check this out - when my daughter was a baby I often said I could do with an adult version of the Babygro..or even better, what I used to call her "Womble Suit"..anyone remember those? Fleecy suit..perhaps the dressing gown version of the babygro..it was the shape that reminded me of a Womble...OMG...I'm that shape without the ****** suit !!!!

I had a "Womble Suit" of sorts - although I called mine my "Loungy Suit" - my mum made it for me, and I loved it so much! Originally it didn't have feet, but a pair of separate matching bootie slippers - I couldn't be bothered pulling these on and off as well as the suit so I made mum sew them onto the ends of the legs and never looked back!!

I've been hankering after another one lately, might have to put in an order with mother dearest!

I'm desperate to get my OH a Slanket! She's always freezing and spends Sept-May wrapped in fifteen layers feeling the cold. However she's got a mental block about the Slanket, she calls it a 'Granny Bag'! (She has also described our wonderful memory foam as an orthopaedic mattress! Think she's got a Peter Pan complex at 34 :dull:) Am going to read this thread out to her in an effort to win the argument...and enjoy a peaceful winter...

How about a faux fur throw then?! Try saying that when you've had a few!!

I've got the slanket but to be honest I find it's a pain as I'm always tripping over it. Plus if anyone asks me once more if i'm coming over to the dark side I will throttle them!! My OH got me the fft and it's lovely to snuggle into and keeps me warm in the winter. OH was happy as it means he can turn down the heating.. the tight b*gger!

in the end I purchased mine from Menkind, they were the offical ones and were £19.99 but you only pay 1 P&P of £4.95 per order and I managed to find a 5% code as well. They had a lot more choice of colours as well. I ordered on Sunday and they are being posted today and will be with me tomorrow.

Thank you for the link Minnietheminx x

Awesome! Glad you managed to snag a bargain Lizzie. x

I must say that I'm quite interested in the the Primark furry suits that Loveinamist mentioned. I had only dreamt that such a thing existed in adult sizes! (Call me weird.) I'll have to get down there to have a look.

Alternatively my mother could knit you a cardigan, give her your measurements and she'll make it ten sizes too big. Mine is totally unwearable out but it has kept me cosy through 22 winters!

We like the slankets (as a family) the only problem i find with them, being only 5'2 that they are way too long and can be a pain when moving around (or trying to) but they are great for just lounging around.

We love our slanket, in fact i think this year i might just go and buy one for my husband so that we don't always fight over the one we have. I wonder if they'll do kids ones too, we could have a whole family of slanket-wearers. Or would that be too weird?!

I think I've mentioned this before, but we have the slanket in brown, and last Halloween I used it to make a sort of mad monk outfit, tied it with a big brown leather belt and pulled the hood up over my head. It looked brilliant (if I do say so myself), and kept me well warm on the way home from the party!

grabitnow.com have red a red one on today only for £8.78 and free p & p. Have ordered from them before, they have new deals every day for 24 hours only.

I was so pleased to see this thread :clapping: .... I want to buy one for a friend for Christmas but as she is slim and only 5' 1" I wondered if I'd be better getting one intended for a child rather than an adult one. What does anyone think? MTIA

Well, I'm 5'9" and forever tripping over mine so..... mind you I don't suppose you're supposed to go for a walkabout whilst wearing one!

I noticed that they had Slankets in Fenwicks available in new printed designs, wonder if QVC will have these and plain onese

Hope QVC have both as I would like a printed one for me and two plain ones for Christmas presents

They are very very long. I'm 5ft & have walked up mine many times. So I would say yes to a childs one.

Love them or hate them the guy that invented them was on Joan Rivers - How Do You Get So Rich and now has millions and millions and millions of bucks!!

If you live near a T J Hughes have just got an offer leaflet through they have one called a Snuggle Wrap and it's £5 you might be able to get it online.

Good Luck
